I'm glad you liked it, Paul, but I would prefer not to think about what the terror that would have been racing throught the minds of those people on board the hijacked planes.
Hello!, sea!
What's new?

...think about the terror, rather than think about what the terror, Paul...
I really ought to reread what I type before I post my messages

it's been a majorly sh**ty week.
we're going to war.
i hate war.
i am thisclose to saying "f**k america, i'm moving to antartica. there aren't any wars in antartica!"
*sigh*

That was the topic of my latest journal entry...
And you ought to see the types of wars that occur in Antarctica. Those penguins are a psychotic bunch, and don't let anyone tell you different .

*sad smile*
when penguins get guns, i'll be worried. they still won't have nuclear weapons, though. i can't help but think that all the animals are infinitely smarter than we are... THEY are never unhappy. they don't make war. they don't have nukes. *sigh*
i now officially hate society and honestly believe that people are stupid.

I have frowned for far too long. And there is still more to frown about, but enough is enough. I won't allow the terrorists the satisfaction of ruining my, and everyone else's life.
You can't hate society as a whole, because both you and I are people, and think what you may of our intelligence, but I know you can see that we both have hearts, as do most people.
As for the animals, yes. They always have, and always will be smarter than us.
(But what makes you think the penguins don't have guns?)

because i've yet to see a penguin shoot another penguin. or anything else, for that matter.
*sigh*
yes, i realize we're intelligent and compassionate when we're seperated, but once we band together, we're impulsive, uncaring, stupid, heartless. the mob mentality takes over.

I wouldn't go as far as to say that the whenever we group together we act like a destructive mob. Did you see that group of people break into song?

no, but i did see a baseball field - sized american flag made in tuscon the other day.
i also see reports of people attacking muslims and arabs.
i also saw blink 182 get an entire arena full of people to shout "f**k bin laden" in unison.
i also see thousands of 18-25 year old men around me, who might all be dead in a year.
there's so much hate...

Sea, please. Take it one day at a time.
Hundreds of millions of people have had the scare of their lives,
and there is still a lot to work out of their overstressed nervous systems.
Getting together to shout "f**k Bin Laden" may be therapeutic for
them, and they aren't actually harming anyone by doing it.
I feel terrible for Muslims who will be the victims of hate as a result
of the atrocities in New York and Washington. Some non-Muslims
are already comforting them, however. That has to count for something
in my book.
The only person I know of who is able to rise above hate is the Pope,
who was attacked a few years ago and forgave his assailant.
I don't know what to say about the 18-25 year old men. Some will
want to volunteer for the services, because they think this will give
them a chance to do something about the terrorism. I hope they will
come back safe afterward. Please don't give up all hope.
(And, no, I would not go to Antarctica. Too cold! )

paul. it's hard when it's so scary. this is the first time that there's been a war when i've been old enough to properly understand what that means.

However horrible the events of last
week may have been, I find myself
trying to understand how it all happened.
Did the architects of those buildings
bear some responsibility by not protecting
the central cores of the towers from
penetration by those airplanes, or was
there nothing more that they or anyone
could have done? The first plane shot a bolt
of fire down the elevator shaft that went
all the way to the basement of the tower.
Were all the staircases also penetrated?
If so, there would have been no way for
anyone from floors above the impact to
escape. No one deserves to die in buildings
that are deathtraps. Are superhigh skyscrapers
seeing the end? I certainly would not want
to go up in them for any reason....

i thought i heard that GL knew one of the designers of the buildings, and that they tried to make them so that they wouldn't do what they did. but i'm not sure.
i doubt anyone expected a plane to fly into them, though.
