I wish I could say that I had some part in your happiness, but alas, I hadn't.
Ah, well. Maybe another time .

no, it's just that earlier i was reading all this stuff about how we're going to war, and now i seem to be... i dunno, in shock or maybe i've just put an SEP field around it.
thanks for trying to talk me out of my funk earlier.

better. much better.
life's getting busy, which is the way i like it. i just got a job that i start monday, and then all this week i have rehearsals for a play at school, so i will have very little time to breathe, let alone get depressed.
hence the reason for my compulsive need to be insanely busy. but i like it. is it bad to like torturing yourself?

Not if you like it, I guess.
Hell, I know I torture myself all the time...
I happen to hate it, though.

A lot of music. In the concert band, I've been dubbed, "Timpani-Player Extraordinare," and so was assigned to play this freakishly hard piece that calls upon my playing thirty-second notes that are zarkingly fast!
I'm also playing with a few jazz bands, and with one of them we're planning to twist our reportoire(sp?) a bit, and play songs at a concert in honor of the victims and heroes of September 11th. Inspired by the "Tribute to Heroes" thing all over tv last night, of course.
Oh, and I mustn't forget the homework. I'm getting plenty of that too

I don't mind the homework. Although there is a ridiculous amount of it, it's relatively easy, and the only thing that would ever stop me from doing a good job on it would be my being an h2g2 junkie. I just can't get off this god-forsaken site...
The music is amazing, though!
My blues band and I broke into 'Uncle Remus,' by Frank Zappa the other day. It was a pretty cool transition too. The pianist's solo comes up, and then he pretty much gave the finger to the chord changes of the song we were playing, and jumped into the intro to Uncle Remus. And by the time the intro had finished, we couldn't help but jump right in and play along. It's a great song, by the way. I highly recommend you download it. Plus, I'd like to see your reaction to the lyrics. Don't worry, they aren't vulger or perverse like the majority of Zappa's works; this song is just hilarious
How are all the auditions going, and such? I was once an actor but a few years ago, until I gave all that up for music, and now the only character I know and can portray is myself. Pity, really...

ah, yes... the h2g2 addiction. i suffer(?) from it as well... i'd really like to have a computer implanted in my head so i can be on hootoo whenever i'm bored.
zappa? i'll look into it.
we're into rehearsals now. show opens in... two weeks. it's going well so far...

Is it safe to assume that you have been cast the leading role?
Of course it is. How could I doubt such a thing?
What are you guys performing?

OH, no, i'm not an actress! i'm a techie. actually, for this show, "Still Life with Parrot and Monkey", i'm the assistant stage manager/lighting technician/all-purpose gofer.

That's right, you ARE a techie!
I remember reading that on the old version of your personal space...
That's a great title for a play, though

sorry. went to get dinner.
the play itself makes NO sense to me. i've read the script twice, and seen it performed, and i STILL don't get it.
maybe i'll ask the playwright to explain it.

Playrights usually now what's going on (generalization made ignorantly in an attempt to sound as if he knew what hell he was talking about ).
I was wondering where everyone went. You're the first person to reply for over an hour now...
How was dinner?

Has that much happened in twenty-four hours?
I hope they were good things that made it seem like a lifetime since...

good and bad.
let it just suffice to say that i helped an incredible group of people stop someone from doing something terrible to himself.
i don't know how much to tell... it's kind of a sensitive subject, you know?
