Well, here goes... it feels odd wearing a number pinned to my front.
Just the matter of a two mile walk there... and a two mile walk back . I knew there was a flaw in the plan somewhere .

*jogs back in clutching a gold medal and a pink draw-string goody-bag*
I'm back . I completed the 5km (3.1 mile) course in 34 minutes 42 seconds which is a tad slower than I had hoped but in my defence the first kilometre took over 8 minutes due to congestion and there were two vicious hills.
I got so bored walking back that I ran the last mile .

That's not *quite* true, Caerwynn. The Great Ant also has to e-mail *me* to tell me where to send the *other* cheque to!
Very well done, Amy!
Here, have a well-earned . After all, there's a few weeks to go before the next .

It's very odd; I don't feel that I've done anything. You'd think something would ache. Perhaps it will hurt tomorrow. I have to keep looking at the finishers' medal to convince myself that it actually happened.
Anyway, I've gained a 5k training course with hills - which will come in handy. I now start training to improve my 5k time by 7 July and to run the extra mile for Sports Relief on 10 July. There's a 5 mile race for the British Heart Foundation on 11th July but I think it's too close to the other events and *next* year I'll qualify for a veteran category so I think I'll wait .

I've not received an email yet telling me where to send the cheque, just in case you thought you already had.

I didn't get round to sending the emails because I've been very, very busy. I'll do it tomorrow, I promise .

I've sent the emails. Sorry for the delay but I was a very busy ant and then, probably as a result, a very poorly ant.

Sorry to hear that. You've worked very hard - it's probably time to stop and smell the .
Anyway, the Fantasy cheque is in the post.

Cheers!
The cheques have arrived . I'll be banking them on Wednesday and sending the money off to Cancer Research UK. I hope to have raised £65.50 plus the Gift Aid tax money (about £18).
A big Thank You to everyone who supported me.

I am indeed, Caer. I did 30 minutes this morning in an attempt to get it over and done with before it got too hot. It was a good plan let down by the fact that it's already 24 degrees C out there .
Good singing, Ormy . But would we expect any less from an opera star?
