I spoke too soon. My eyes are no longer evil but my arms and legs aren't good. They've swollen up with huge circular swellings (hives?). I'm going to have to go back to the .

Oh dear! that does not sound good, what are you elegiac to amy?
Amy Runs for Life
Amy the Ant - High Manzanilla of the Church of the Stuffed Olive Posted Apr 21, 2004
Yes, I got to the lunch thanks and the swelling around my eyes had already started to go down so I presented a slightly less frightening aspect than I might otherwise have done.
I must be allergic to something but I can't work out what it is. I've looked up urticaria on the Internet and I'm going to cut out all the known causes (eggs, strawberries, tomatoes etc). If the swellings don't go down over the weekend I'll go back to the on Monday.
I didn't run today but I plan to tomorrow morning. It was raining so heavily, and I felt so awful (and it's Day 1) that I just couldn't face it.
It's enough to put any in an elegiac frame of mind, DoctorMO. Fortunately, I have a fairly sunny disposition.

Ah well I know what allergic reactions are like, eggs and nuts do it for me. no cakes allowed
obviously I misspelled lol.
I remember the first time I ate a hazel nut, my eyes went all puffy, thought got tight and all these little bumps appeared on my arms, I was only 7 too.

My acupuncturist has given me some useful information about allergies and urticaria today but I must go back to the for further tests. They were closed when I rang them today - I'll try again tomorrow.
I did half a training run this morning - 2 mins running, 2 walking times 4. I'll try to do the full course tomorrow.

I have much less faith in the than you, DoctorMO. I managed to get an appointment this morning because there had been a cancellation but the refused to refer me. She said I must wait a month to see if I get better first.

Bleh, thats all silly you can normal tell within a week.
Oh well I hope they find what ever is causing the problem, It better not be anything important like water or tea.
This being ill thing's getting to me, 3 weeks and I'm sick of not being at work. odd eh.
Best Regards,

It was an Estee Lauder eye cream that made my eyes look some reptile's scaly peepers, but bright red skin instead of green. It cost me a small fortune, that cream and I had to chuck it out. So it was back to L'Oreal (who are owned by Estee Lauder, as Clinique and Prescriptives just to prove I know stuff )
Is it just a coincidence that they started being evil when you began your training? Probably I suppose.

I've never got on with l'Oreal products myself. Their eye cream made my eyes itch. i'll stick with M&S and Clinique from now on.
Good news for the members of Team Ant!
The can now run for three minutes without collapsing . I went twice round the circuit, 3 mins running, 3 walking. No slacking or wimping out. I even ran up the hill without moaning (much). And I did a sprint finish over 400 yards from the newsagents... in public, no sneaking round the back... as an encore .
I feel as if I could do it all again.

I ache today after all my exertions yesterday. I have also got a raging appetite, but am doing my best not to eat the smoked almonds and bbq flavour cashew nuts we bought at the French market in the town this morning.
How's the allergy today, Amy?

*chomps on a chinese leaf and celery salad*
The allergy is down to minimal but hasn't gone away. The eyes are good though . I've nearly finished washing all my clothes in Surcare but my dryer has broken and I've run out of places to drape wet washing. I made a stab at some of the ironing but that's going to be a long-term project - I'm certainly allergic to ironing .
I'm going for a 6 mile walk this afternoon. It's a lovely day so it should be quite fun and I now fit into my pink jeans which is even more fun . I found a lilac t-shirt while I was emptying the drawers in search of laundry, so I'm wearing that too and I look very summery.

With the improved eyes and your fashionable pink jeans, you'll knock 'em for six
I was admiring a lilac tshirt this morning in Debenhams, but it had Reebok on it and that made me feel exhausted just looking at it!
I suppose I should have a lettuce leaf or two for my lunch instead of a wholemeal roll with a slice of corned beef and tomato sauce. I am much more disciplined on my own, but H offered to get me something and I knew there was corned beef in the fridge.
