Yep.

That's me.

Mostly harmless.

*smells, sniffs and tastes it*

Dont' like it - far too tame, too meek, to subtle.

But that's how I come across.

I'm not surprised that it happens in RL, I've experienced it too many times. Customs, security guards - not ignoring me, but just not noticing me.

What surprises me even more is when it happens online.

When people I've never met, that I even don't know what they look like, start trusting me.

I'm one of the second-in-command ones in my guild in Entropia, *and* the soc shop keeper (meaning I have exclusive access to all items on display in the shop).

The big boss in my Entropia guild has also lent me one of his apartments, for free. I could sell it, you know...

And tonight, one of the big-wigs in my WoW guild asked me if I wanted to become a bigwig too, sort of...

And why?

Because I care, because I am engaged, because I like to get others to get engaged as well as involved?

How does that make me reliable and trustworthy? How? How?

Maybe more of your personality comes across on-line than you realise...

And I wouldn't say 'Mostly Harmless' I'd take it as a complement that people feel they can trust you.

What would I rather be? What indeed? Someone slightly more dubious rather than obvious?

Trust... oh yeah, trust - people have always trusted me, ever since the age of 13 (!) *mumble, grumble*

As well as paying you the compliment of being trustworthy, let's also speak of your fluency in more than one language, to the point that you write poetry in a language not your own.

And there's your willingness to learn, such that you're the first to fly off to a dictionary or to wiki when you hear a new word or idea.

We could mention your imagination,that has made you a senior fellow amongst the informal guild of adventurers here on hootoo.

And there's surely more!

Just add "trustworthy" to your list of excellent character traits. If "dubious" is another trait you wish to display, there are many, many RPGs [even here on HooToo] that allow you to test the waters of the 'shadier' human qualities. Think back and dredge up how you put yourself into the character roles of any number of 'alter egos' in the stories hosted by Lil in the Atelier. My! what a repertoire of styles and emotions you've displayed! And all throughout, you've been "trustworthy" enough to stay in character and stick to the continuity.

This is a "good" thing.
