I'm popping by as one of the assistant community editors(or <./>aces</.>here. We greet newbies such as yourself and help you get nicely settled. Thankyou for providing the introduction, next carefully review my colleague Feisor's list of Hints and Links at A719840. That should familiarize you with everything and make settling in that much easier. One of the first features Feisor mentions are the assortment of <./>smileys</.>, but much much more awaits discovery.
As you proceed down the list you'll encounter The h2g2 Post's Links Page, which reveals even more points of interest. You'll find items such as the Researchers' Map at A5076614, the Regional Researchers' Groups at A660313 and the Living Earth Society at A765263. As well you'll also find the h2g2 worms Club at A745544, the Literary Society at U127122, the Random Quotes Guild at A907382 and-among other things-the Personal Space Workshop at A1123354. Feisor refers you to Spicing Up Your User Page, however you may find the Workshop useful as a supplement to Spicibg Up...just my .
