Another problem is when a colleaugue is also a friend, and when work comes between you....

I'm rather 
ed off with manager today. I received a *text* message at 12.19am to ask if I could go into work at 7.45 this morning. Needless to say I didn't respond and didn't go in. I rang her 9.30am (she had had to go in instead of me 
) She apparently knew earlier that the colleague I was supposed to have been replacing was not going in at 8.30pm - why did she not ring me earlier and perhaps try my landline?
