I have things to do today:

Put some rubbish out,
Hang up some laundry and whack some more in,
Buy some food & stuff,
Tidy up a bit,
Shift some furniture around to make an environment more conducive to creativity,
Write a tune for the AViators,
Buy some beer.

So then: socks up, arse in gear, get stuff done.

Are you using the principles of Feng Shui to get the more creatvity- inducing ambience (ambiance? ambulance?)

What with him being a bloke, I'm sure he'll need the ambulance if he starts shifting furniture.

Do bottles of ale and JD count as furniture then.

It's raining - don't bother with the laundry. Statistics show that Saturday is the most dangerous day of the week for housework in terms of accidents. It's also the busiest day of the week for shopping - the queues will be horrendous. People putting rubbish out contribute to global warming. Lay all your rubbish on the floor and lie on it until it compresses into a heat saving, insulating "carpet".

Some off-licences deliver.

How you doing Roy?

I suddenly looked around to find myself in work on day off trying to catch up .....arrrggghhhh how the hell did this happen?

So far I've put the rubbish out, done a little shopping (bacon, bread and Guardian, which will, as ever, remain unread on the bed, apart from ScreenBurn), hung up the laundry, planned the furniture rearrangement, done a little washing up, replanned the furniture rearrangement, and drunk a lot of coffee.

I've also noticed the uTorrent is currently downloading at 1.1MB/s, which is impressive but means Virgin are going to throttle the arse off me later.

I've found two cans of shaving foam. Shame I never use the stuff.

Work on a Saturday? Ye gods, that's careless of you.

I keep getting asked to do overtime on a Saturday but my conscience prevents me: our overtime budget this year would have paid for three full time posts at my grade.

*remembers it's Saturday and removes rep hat*

I applaud your devotion to housework

I slept in until 11.30am and am now watching a few of my bids on ebay before I plan to gently get into the day by having a bath then sorting a bit of laundry into the right drawers. I'm a lazy lump on Saturdays

Yeah man I don't really know what happened... I kinda remeber thinking in the shower that I would get more done at work and the next thing I know I am there..... arrrggghhhh..... I wasn't even getting overtime as it was union stuff I was doing.

Oh well at least I have escaped now!

I've got some personal case paperwork I should be looking at but it's all a bit messy and I'm currently up to my neck in half-rearranged furniture.

See! See! If you hadn't started messing about with furniture you could have been helping society.

I am helping society merely by gracing the planet with my presence. Anything else I do is a bonus for which you should all be grateful.

I've had a fairly productive day so far, with lodger installed linux on to an old PC went to the bakery, which had closed, so bought orange juice and cigarettes instead, and I've just made a loaf of bread, so I can have breckfast music? recording? yeh I'm sure there was soemthing about doing that on the agenda I've got work to do too but I'm going to put that off until Sunday

I am currently experimenting with facial hair. Any kind of work, or indeed strenuous activity, will invalidate the experiment.

I just found out that one of the wardrobes has a castor missing and probably did something unpleasant to a muscle under my left armpit.

Do you ever get one of those 'I've bitten off more than I can chew.' feelings?

On a side note my thirteen year old boy has wrecked his bed again. We need to sort that out. Thankfully he's at his dad's tonight so we can sort it tomorrow.

Right now I'm trying to figure out where all the stuff on my bed came from. It must have been *somewhere* but wherever that somewhere was isn't there any more.
