It's not much, simple four note (one per bar) bass line want's layering up with chugging, distorted guitar or bass guitar or both and maybe rythmical variation/ sworly feedback in and out also for verse double strokes 1 and 1& + 3 and 3& (twidly bits in between but ignorable)
I've used granular synthesis for the synth bits so I'd send you a couple of mp3's incase the tuning is a bit weird.
Could try the chords for the chorus as well.
Fancy it?

Anyway....YOU RULE! GO ON THAT MAN!
I'll send the files tommorrow in't day. It's sounding a little bit raw but totally grimeliscous at the mo and the vocals haven't been recorded. Well they have, by me, and subsequently sacked right off. The vocalist is the one from Mr Beasley (band) and The Cutler (Porky, owner of now defunct Pork recordings). Check Mr Beasley out, they're pretty damn awesome.

Now there's a funny thing. Somebody must have a right downer on Apollo 440!
Anyway, when I get 'em I'll whack 'em in a Cubase track and keep the guitar parts on separate tracks. Not sure how to get 'em back to you (individual files? A guitar only mix? Cross that bridge when we come to it I suppose!)
Damn, I'd better sort out the intonation on the 'rock' guitar. I've been putting it off from months.

Seperate files will probably be better as my 'performance'...
(I'm still not sure if I can get away with that, even if I am triggering things left, right and center, working the crossfader with my elbows and pitch bending a looped porno 'uh!'sample with a flight simulator joystick)
...will be on Ableton so the more I can access individual bits the better

Cool. I've never dabbled with Ableton but gather it's quite a lot of fun.
Preferred file type, bit rate etc? I'm guessing mp3 but Cubase can export quite a variety.

Ableton is *really good fun. Great for electronic stuff. It's flexible and powerful and has even managed to get rid of the midi chin scratching and finger/table drumming I've been resigned to for so long.
I still use cubase for planning out basic arrangement, recording and micro editing but the fun middle bit is all Ableton.
mp3: I do all my exporting from sound forge and I just pick 'highest'

Hmm. I'm tempted to get hold of the LE version and have a bit of a play. I think I need something to put the fun back into it all!

Apparently Ozzy Osbourne's guitarists have instructions of similar precision to that I posted above and are meant to know what Ozzy has in mind.
Makes the already phenomenal Zakk Wylde seem even more phenomenal!

A swing band leader once asked me to play my drums 'like an apple'
I pondered how I was to interpret this momentarily. Then I just got up and left

Primeval Mudd (formerly Roymondo) Posted Dec 16, 2007
Hmmm. I suppose the difficulty is in knowing whether he meant you to play the way an apple would play or play as if you were playing an apple. Without that clarification the task is impossible.
Of course, had he specified that you had to play the way an apple would play there would have been no problem: apples are renowned for playing drums very, very quietly. In fact their playing is almost imperceptible.
Unlike passion fruit, who bash 'em like there's no tomorrow.

Is this the thread what is for signing up with the vaugue intention of attending the Spring Meet?
If it is, then I'm signing up. Consider a very likely ossible
Unless Uncle Yvonne and Auntie Brian turn up that particular weekend, in which case I won't be able to

The thread for signing up is elsewhere, attached to the meet page linked to from the first post.
This now appears to be a thread for hopeless musos and fruity drummers.

Oh poot
Sorry about that Roy, and thingummybobbed challenged eye, I appear to be currently alcoholically and directionally challenged
As you were lads
I'll find the right thread another time. But I'll do me best and turn up in Spring and get educated and langered; probably in that order, knowing my luck.
Have a nice twang and things.
