Well, whatever, you've started an interesting discussion here Roy & to you for posting this:

Because to my mind, whether or not "religion" comes into it, surely a fundamental part of society is to be able to admit a mistake, if in hindsight/next day/when less drunk/when persuaded by other arguments. Or even if not an actual "mistake"; an error of judgement or temporary pillockriness!
I reckon if there does happen to be some kind of afterlife stuff, you are earmarked for Trade Union Rep!

The Indy has a good editorial today basically saying what I was saying the other night, but in a much more eloquent fashion. Unfortunately I can't link to it

Is the state of being fabulous one of grace or a necessary statement? Is there a metaphysician in the house?

Any chance of that in English for us plebiscites? I'd love to try an answer to that question but I've only a faint grasp on what I think you meant...?

Blimey, a continuing ex-journal convo!
I'm posting as Mugfungus because if I post as Roymondo the journal re-appears. I thought I should clear that up!

Yup; despite rumours to the contrary, i am actually quite a nice person. Kind to animals, mugfunguses & most stray lifeforms which arrive howling in anguish at my feet.
Usually.
Interesting name that: "Chips sangfroid" = cold blooded in this neck of the woods; methinks i shall have a little at your PS if it's Ok by you?

Too much backlog, I only read the first few posts, and fully agreed with SWL, then lost this convo out of my eyes. It does look though, as if everybody is again, and as if some people do indeed read

eeek! That sounds like something out of a horror film; visions of raging torrents of words squirting out of eyeballs!
