Spooks is back and as good as the first series.
I'm not sure what to make of Strange yet. I missed the pilot episode, but it looks as if the series could well become a cult classic.

Mr Prophet (General Purpose Genre Guru) Posted Jun 3, 2003
I liked Strange, but it remains to be seen if they can go a whole series of it. I hope so, although the BBC seem - from the Radio Times write-up at least - to be mildly embarassed about producing a serious cult show. It's all:
"This is a good show with the potential to run and run...but it's just a bit of fun, right? Please don't think we're treating this production seriously. It's just hokum."
Bleagh.
Oh, and someone asked about Matrix Reloaded. The Matrix Reloaded is a very silly film, with a great many flaws, and it ROCKS!

doing some "cross thread pushing" here... who's seen the Sexiest Voice thread? http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/F19585?thread=282500&skip=0&show=20 guess who I went for?

Legolas?
OK, I don't normally go on about the old people's film show {} which I go to on a Tuesday morning, but I am now.
This morning we went to see "The Life of David Gale" which was fantastic, it kept me rivetted to my seat and on tenterhooks until the end.
Unbelievably, it was based on a true story.
Enterprise was good on Monday but not as good as the repeat of last week's show on Sunday

Legolas?
Nah, I don't fancy the boy for his voice...
*checks nickname*
er... there's a clue in there somewhere.
and nobody came up with a picture of James McAvoy for me?

Genie Posted Jun 4, 2003
It would just have to be the delectable Mr Sean Bean wouldn't it?
By the time I got to the thread you had beaten me to it Sho!
Have you heard the 'Give Blood' adverts on the radio? I'm sure he does one of them....I go all wibbly when I hear it..which is not to good when I'm trying to drive!
On an entirely different note...
Hi everyone, I hope you are all well, and not suffering from dehydration from all the !

Swiv (decrepit postgrad) Posted Jun 4, 2003
Legolas' attraction isn't his voice - it's just the fact he's pretty...
can't look at him without thinking him a little gourmless though.

Sho - employed again! Posted Jun 4, 2003
Uganda, eh? As in Ugandan discussions or as in the country?
er....
gormless? boy gormless? go wash your mouth out with soap...
ok, maybe a little dim looking at times, but he's totally edible.
Anyone at all in agreement about James McAvoy? Or is he all for me?
oh, here, all round. Just because it's Wednesday.

Swiv (decrepit postgrad) Posted Jun 4, 2003
uganda as in the country...
have you heard the talk in interviews and so on? he's a little blank behind the eyes at time.
but yes, edible, for sure!

Uganda the country! wow, sounds interesting.
boy may not have much behind the eyes but he sure does leave a nice vision in front of mine. That's all I ask! (not fussy here)
but then, bearing in mind it was his first major role, and he was... what, 20? when he made that. He's only a young pup. He'll learn.
erm... I'll volunteer to teach him a thing or two, if he wants!!

About that, yes. Crikey! Turns out he's all of nine days younger than I am.
Oh, I have wasted my life.

Oh Ladies! I met Patrick Stewart last week!
Well actually I 'met' him due to hanging around the stage door after his performance in 'The Master Builder' in Bath. Unfortunately my man wouldn't part with the cash for a programme (and I am perpetually skint it seems ), and Cap'n Picard wouldn't sign anything other than a programme.
It cheered me up to find that he is, indeed, a tiny man.
I find it most disconcerting that most of the 'interesting' men on screen are all so small! I guess being a shade less than 6' myself doesn't really help.

this is the best pic I could find of young James McAvoy.
http://www.duneinfo.com/miniseries/children_cast/index.asp
He plays the young journalist chappie in State Of Play (on tonight on BBC 4 I believe) which I watch on Sunday nights (9pm BBC1)
. Caught him in some other thing about a pub (he was using his lovely Scottish accent in that, very ) but I don't know what it was called. too busy doing a to notice the title.
Prophet, you're younger than boy? OK, you are officially designated as my e-toyboy, get these on
and hoooowwwww jealous of people who get to meet Patrick Stewart in the flesh? Fie on stingy other halves!! Don't they realise how important it is to have a signature to over?
Did I mention that a friend from Chicago sent me a poster of Orlando Bloom and JohnnyDepp?
