Sho - employed again! Posted Jun 10, 2003
so... what's up with us all? Too hot to ?
what a bunch of lightweights we are.
Treat in store for those of you in the States: Friday sees the first of the new season of Stargate (curse your eyes! ) and some behind the scenes stuff too.
And for the rest of us? Pah! Nothing. Thank goodness I have a friend who mails me lovely Orlando Bloom pictures.

Are you back on the Gate, Sho? I thought you'd kicked that habit using the Alister Crowley method.

we've been collectively d by a young fella!!!!
Hi, Caerwyn, did you have a good time away?
am I the only one watching State of Play? Got a nice James McAvoy fix, but am seriously worried about myself, he's even younger than boy!!! heh heh heh we need a smiley!
Prophet, well, I'm not so Stargatey as I was, but we're doing a chat with Joe Malozzi on Saturday on GateWorld if you want to trot along. I'm a moderator, which means Joe will slag off Clangers again. Sigh, I could gag him for that I souppose... But... ah, no spoilers, I guess you know what's happening in the first ep? I don't want to miss out on that.
Anyone seen Gwennie recently?

You can call me TC Posted Jun 12, 2003
Following that link you gave a while back, Sho, I preferred the pic one or two above Mr MacAvoy, which was of Paul Atreides (Alec Newman). Now - what do I do to see more of these people?

Ellen Posted Jun 12, 2003
Has anyone seen the previews to Seabiscuit? Tobey Maguire plays a jockey. It looks like a really good role for him.

Coniraya Posted Jun 12, 2003
I haven't heard of Seabiscuit, but the posters for Pirates of the Carribean where up in the Odeon last night. I see that Keira Knightly is in it, which will please H as he rather likes her
Sho, Gwennie hasn't been around for a little while, not in her usual hootoo haunts anyway.

Sho - employed again! Posted Jun 12, 2003
TC, I have no idea how you get to see more of those guys...
I'm absolutely busting to see of the Carribean. But I won't see it for ages. I just can't watch boy (I suppose he has to be boy now... even though his character is a blacksmith not a ... oh heck...)

I particularly remember him in "The Thirteenth Floor" mainly becuase, although the film (about 1963 I think) was in black and white, he had a remote control for the TV which wasn't attached by a cable.
No doubt they'll be showing all his films on TV channels all over the world now. Jolly good!
Wasn't he in that very early Audreb Hepburn film where she played an Italian princess who went to live among the common folk.
rummage rummage in imdb - yes it was. Roman Holiday 1953. Lovely film!

A lovely man indeed.
Gone to the great theatre in the sky...
I've just been reading some of Prophet's stories, the first one I loaded was headed "The Daniel Jackson shower and vomit scene is dedicated to all the Droolers. They know who they are"
I felt like you'd written it just for methank you Prophet
and thanks for the link Sho
I'll remind everyone that there's a Blackadder special on tonight on UK Gold, after 10pm, something to do with an anniversary - and it's on for 3 hours and continuing tomorrow night, so I'll be setting my VCR
Blackadder makes me laugh like no other programme {unless it's Ian Hislop squirming and Paul laughing on HIGNFY} and I still think it's the best thing Rowan Atkinson has EVER done {I hate Mr Bean - my son adores it and even watches the cartoon version!}
Rowan also did some adverts for Barclaycard, as an inept Government-type person - they really should play on that character & make a kinda spoof James Bond, but inept, like the B/card characterand he did look gorgeous in that white suit...
Oh and another reminder, it's Coely's birthday tomorrow

I'd forgotten about the "shower and vomit scene" hmmmmmm....
GB there are a fair few bits that will make you go "hmmmm there's another one for us droolers too"
OK, off to try to find screen caps of Nekkid Daniel...
(GB, is everything ok? you vanished when I had to break up yet another gruesome fight)

They have, GB! It's the 'Johnny English' movie (http://www.johnnyenglishthemovie.com/ ). Although his sidekick (Bough) is played by Ben Miller in the film, rather than Henry Naylor.

No2 son says its a very good film and the humour is very British, which I suspect means rather juvenile in parts
~drool~ thread
You can call me TC Posted Jun 14, 2003
My No 1 son went to see it. He said it wasn't really too brilliant, but if it did come in the original English, perhaps I shouldn't miss that.
(I don't like Mr Bean either)

Blimey, I ought to start wishing for something a little more spectacular, don't you think?
