*still recovering from yesterday*
I thought that was Dr Phlox on Stargate! Yes, it was funny, I did a double-take when I heard the actor say "worship at the altar of Roddenbury"
I missed the Klingon batleth!
I'm usually more observant than that....hmmmmmmmmm.
My mind must have been on other things...

Haven't seen this week's stargate yet, due to "The Bill Accord" which is prevelant in our household.
Can't wait though.
Went on a St.Martin parade (anyone apart from TC is probably wondering what that is) and then back to the Kindergarten for sticky buns.... had a nice chat with the lovely (leather trousered) dad I met last week at the parents' evening.
Mr.Sho was none to happy!

Mr Sho wasn't happy? Speaking as your duly appointed toyboy, I have to say I'm deeply wounded.
I note that the US SciFi channel has renewed SG-1 for a seventh season, with Brad Wright taking the year off from producing to develop Stargate: Atlantis.
Sorry ladies: no word yet on the level of Daniel Jacksonage for Season 7; nor on how regular RDA will be.
That last, I hope you realise, is _not_ about McGyver's bowel movements, but rather about RDA's appearances in SG-1 given the commute between Vancouver and California. Another genre regular cries off being a show regular on the grounds that he 'wants his daughter to know what daddy looks like'.
All you Jack O'Neill fanciers out there; I can't help wondering, do you have to actively suppress the memories of RDA's 80's hair?

Is RDA = Jack O'Neill = McGuyver?
Liam.

Coniraya Posted Nov 8, 2002
Yes indeed! I shall miss him if he isn't going to be a regular anymore, but there will be others to console myself with......Tyr for one, Dylan for another.
We really need a few more home grown drools don't we?

Really? I used to love McGuyver - not in the way you do. But that was back when I was too young to remember TV/Film stars' names.
Home grown ? *thinks* Janie from My Family. - See I'm still to young to remember TV stars' names
Liam.

Still to young to remember TV stars' names? That's my excuse too, although many have put my poor mammary down to being slightly senile...
Home-grown crumpet hey? Hmmm...
Ian Hislop?

There is heresy in the house . No1 son says he couldn't care less about Jack not being in SG-1 regularly, but he would be very upset if Carter was to do the same.
I have given it some thought and of course there is lots of home grown talent, that nice young Sargeant in Foyle's War to start with also those two unrelated MacFaddyens, or how ever its spelt and Sean Bean, just to mention 4. But they aren't on our screens as often as RDA.

Prophet, should you care to turn up at Kindergarten in Leather trousers, I'll talk to you all night too....
Mr.Sho, of course, will go home in a huff.
yipppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, I think, to another year of Stargate. Apparently the deal with RDA/Jack/Colonel O'Neill is that he will work Monday-Fridaymornings. Probably. He is growing on me so I won't mind if he stays, but if he goes as long as the writing is good I'll stick with it. A toil, I know!
As to Daniel, again maybe just web-rumour but Michael Shanks would like to come back but decided too late for the 6th season. We shall see, I think that's a cynical ploy on the part of the Stargate PTB to keep viewers. I'd love to be proved wrong though. Just think of Daniel and Jonas trying to "out tight t-shirt and bicep" each other!! yes please.
OK, home grown drool?
Ian Hislop
Hugh Grant
Sean Bean
Steve Hogarth from Marillion
Colin Firth
plenty more (consults list)
I'll tell you after I've had a cold shower

Coniraya Posted Nov 8, 2002
No shortage of home grown drool, but because we don't make tv series that are 26 episodes long as is generally the case in the US, we don't get to see enough of them.
