You can call me TC Posted Nov 11, 2002
Ànd I hadn't even wondered! I took it for granted that adverts just worked that way!
BTW The Lacoste man has now been seen on German TV. I think it's the one anyway - he sits down with a cuppa at the end and smiles into the camera? (Is he drinking the after shave?)
Sorry about that, Captain SM. Things can be really difficult. Women get upset (baby blues) and don't want you to touch them but at the same time are dying for you to just hold them tight and take the worries off their shoulders. It's a lose-lose thing.
You lot make me feel frigid honestly. I only even then resumed normal service after being persuaded that I had a doc appointment the next day and would probably be expected to report. So I gritted my teeth and thought of England.
Whoops, anything else might be a bit gory, so I'll shut up.
Anyway you're all watching Andromeda now, so I can go on and on if I like.
tum te tum.
It's X files here tonight, so it's back to the ironing board. This time I'm going to watch it. I am not too tired I am not too tired.

Sho - employed again! Posted Nov 11, 2002
I've finally given up on Andromeda. What's with the Trek tribute shows? Last week Stargate (one of the best ever) and now Andromeda. Sheesh, they even did that speech about "going where nobody had ever been" or some such drivel.
TC, I can't even remember the end of the Lacoste ad! But I've seen the fireman one.... the ad company has a direct line to one of my fantasies then!
Farscape was.... um... well. The less said the better I think. Crichton looked yummy, nice biceps! And Aeryn was rather tasty too.

Galaxy Babe - eclectic editor Posted Nov 11, 2002
And I caught a glimpse of hairy chest {on Crichton, not Aeryn}
I agree Sho, the episode was well , and a rip off of the Stargate I saw at 6pm!
I knew Aeryn wasn't the princess, but it was a lovely surprise to see Zhaan!
Who spotted that the ogre/devil was Craise?
I just watched "Ghost"
I knew you'd like that Imperial Leather advert Sho!
I noticed it was on during an Andromeda break & hoped you didn't nip to the loo.
i think it's Mrs. Roddenbury's doing, all this Trek-injection, probably trying to save the show. The men on the slow ship looked like they were wearing Trek uniforms, and Tony Todd {the Captain who fell in love with Rommy} was a regular in Star Trek, he was Worf's brother, and he also played the elderly Jake Sisko in the best ever Trek ep. "The Visitor".
TC - go to bed, the ironing will still be there tomorrow.
Or better still, lay it out under your mattress & it'll press itself!
What we wouldn't give for a male slave, wearing just a frilly pinny eh girls?
I'm off to bed now, head, gotta be up early
Night all,
*waves to lurkers*

Mrs SM put in a presciption for the pill yesterday. I bought a *thinks family pack would be an inappropriate term* large pack of condoms. Can anyone remember how long you have to wait after starting to taking the pill again? - not me, Mrs SM.
*considers unsubscribing now - but remembers aobut Alan Rickman *

Looks like I'm going to enjoy Macbeth
I like the IL ad too, in fact H said they must have read my mind. Unless the ad agency read the drool thread???

*agrees with about Sean Bean*
Haven't seen MacBeth..
The Pill - your GP will advise her about that, everyone is different and I am almost sure it depends on whether or not she's breastfeeding...
I would say you'd be better sticking to condoms {not literally!} but make sure she's well lubricated!
Remember breastfeeding is not a guarantee of inconceivability!
I have a God-daughter as living proof!

It is on at the Albery Theatre, St Martin's Lane. I can't remember when the run ends.

nooooo! I want a tv adaptation Macbeth is the best! [Except the Polanski version with the naked witches [shudder]]
On a [shudder] related note: has anyone seen the adaptation of 1984? With the naked Julia: with the...affro, and the purple nipples
[shuddershuddershudder!]

Mr Prophet (General Purpose Genre Guru) Posted Nov 12, 2002
There was a version I saw at the theatre once, in modern - well, forties - dress, and I have to say that it didn't work. You can't have Macbeth and Mcduff having a swordfight when Malcolm's just over the next ridge with a Tommy Gun!
I have to stop reading this thread on Tuesdays, since I don't see Farscape until Tuesday evening.

Galaxy Babe - eclectic editor Posted Nov 12, 2002
I'll be interested to hear your take on it.
Speaking of naked [shudders]
I remember on a comedy programme once, someone was trying to flog some naked pictures of Whoopie Goldberg and he ended up burning them
Poor Whoopie.

And Sliders is so funny at the moment.
The other night, Remmy was famous on one and someone came up to him and asked for his autograph.
Remmy obliged.
The delighted young fan said:
"Thanks a lot! This'll be worth a mint when you're dead!"

Back to taking the pill. You have to wait until your first period. Not yours, hers. The doc will advise and it's on the packet.
HTH
Ho hum.
Life is so hectic, I thought next week was fairly free and then you get an invite to a parents' evening. That's probably the first of a whole load of appointments which will eventually fill up the week.
You should see my kitchen! (I hardly have in the past 3 weeks)

I'm lucky this time, the pill works although I had a general anaesthesia last week. I'm glad that I didn't forget to ask today during the post-OP appointment.
Key: Complain about this post
