P.S Aceing is great fun, it's similar to being a Guardian Angel, and you can be both which is less confusing for the Newbies!

Thanks Mel and i'm going to sign up to be an ACE later today...but do you have to do anything different...i mean from being a GA?

I'm not a GA so I can't really answer that but as far as I know the deal is that we greet new researchers and are there to help them during their time on h2g2 and once a week veggieman puts up a list that contains all the new researchers who have joined that week or activated their pages that week and we manually go through and check them.

Checking in occasionally when exams and coursework permit... I think this may have got shifted to the bottom of the list somehow though!

Am fine, have been at uni working hard, am just doing my 2nd year exams and then am going to France to work for a year.

Well today - bar exams - was my last day of high school ever anf for some reasons things are going quite well today, there have been a few good things going on:

1) end of school
2) I got my internet connection back
3) the guy I used to like split with his girlfriend, which I'm not happy about because it means i have a chance (cause I really don't) but because it proved me right in that she was using him til the next guy came along.

it's been quite a good time

I would say good luck for your exams but they're probably all done by now so hope they went well.

Have you pulled the guy you didn't have a chance with yet?!

yeah all done and dusted and I should get my results in August.


The guy, no, I haven't tried, he's not interested, so I won't push it, if he wants anything from me he should try, though I did find out that the girl, my friend, new how much I liked him and intentionally went after him because of it I know this because she told him and he told my friend Alison who sent me the conversation they had

ach, I'll pull eventually and it's him who's missing out... maybe not

How do you think they went or do you not want to think about them?!

Um okay, it was my final year, I had all the results I needed to get into college or uni and so these exams were just for something to do as well as a few more qualifications under my belt, so they're not incredibly important, but they are still I guess caus eI wanna pass...I reckon I'll have done okay in art and in Business Management I think I'll have scraped through, or at least I hope so.

A little word of wisom my mother once gave me....

If you don't want everybody to read it don't write it down.

I have fairly stood by it. I don't keep a diary anymore for that reason and I chucked all my old ones. You never know when something you wrote 5 years ago will come back to haunt you and believe me I was not a particularly nice person 5 years ago.... Though I've calmed down... Having a steady bloke helped a lot!

I don't have a problem with people reading it, usually I don't name names, it's just the idea that someone might read it that;s the problem if you get what I mean

5 years ago I was at secondary school and although not really nasty I had a few strange ideas about the way men should be treated. Don't ask me where they came from but basically I broke a few hearts and I wont say that I didn't care but I didn't want to care.

don't know why but this is written just above the subject line at the moe, rather apt I do feel!

As for getting the steady bloke there is no 'way' to do it. You have to alter your ways to suit the bloke you're going after. Getting a steady bloke just differs in that once you've got him he stays as nice as he seemed before you had him! So I used to get bored easily.... I was young!
