Tweaking my meds really helped. That's 2 nights on the trot with hardly any pain
I hope the weather improves for the Remembrance Sunday service tomorrow, Mum's laying a poppy wreath again and I am collecting her at 10am.
Counting down to the op. now, 10 days to go. *fingers crossed*

Pierre de la Mer ~ sometimes slightly worried but never panicking ~ Posted Nov 10, 2012
My friend who had a major vein in his leg replaced tuesday showed up today, grinning all over his face even if he admitted he was still a little sore.
- But I have warm feet now

Thanks s but I spoke too soon
After 3 Blessed painfree days and 2 good nights, last night the pain returned with a vengeance. It was so bad I actually thought my chest was on fire. 9 days to go to my op. but if I have another episode like that I'll be dialling 999 and see if they can fix me urgently.
Today I am supposed to be collecting my mother at 10am so she can lay a poppy wreath at Cleethorpes Cenotaph. All I want to do is crawl back to bed and sleep until the 20th.

So glad I went. My son Andrew was there with his friend Will. He even had a gift for me, a crystal 3D puzzle, the Saturn.
my sister & her hubby and my lil bro and his lovely wife also turned up. Also joining us was Gordon, who gave me a gift from China, my name in Chinese on a calligraphy card. Apparently I'd be called An An over there...sounds rather like a
to me

My mother was interviewed by the local rag yesterday at the local Cenotaph, after she laid a poppy wreath. Just getting some nuggets whetted their appetites and they've agreed an appointment this week when I can attend for a "special" - a full page on interesting local people. I have seen these before, and know a few of those featured, one was the founder of my local astronomy club, an old friend. Mum was chuffed with all the attention and she'll be in her element when she's splashed over the local newspaper. Fame at last at 93
I watched the launch of I'm A Celeb last night. I like it because there's always something to laugh at
and I love Ant and Dec's banter. Linda Robson made me laugh out loud when she was on a rope-and-plank bridge - Charlie yelled at her to straddle one and proceed on her bottom. As she was trying to manouver herself into the position, Linda yelled back for more instructions, and said "I haven't straddled anything recently"

So sorry you had such a bad night.I suppose two nights off is better than none, but I can't help feeling we're not crossing our fingers hard enough. Will do better.
It's obvious that you've got good long-life genes though. Best wishes to your almost famous mum too.

GB, I am watching too. Haven't done so for the last couple of series but I am interested to see how this one pans out with a certain person!! I laughed at Linda Robson too, and thought Helen (Rosie) was very brave. i have the same fear of heights she has.
I can catch up at teatime which suits me better.Glad your Mum is getting her fifteen minutes of fame

I am not sure how long Colin Baker is going to last, he's rather let himself go and is completely unfit! I remember Eric Bristow was the world darts champ. I even remember his partner then was called Maureen Flowers, and I thought it was such a beautiful name. I must do some research to find out whether she swopped Flowers for Bristow!I enjoyed the year with George Takei, there were so many Trek references
Counting down to my op. now...1 week today!
I've just been to see the latest Bond film, Skyfall. Wow. For once I agree with the critics, it's the best one yet.

I don't know how you fit it all in! Go easy, girl. Your family have showon that they will rally round when needed, so don't take everything on your own shoulders.
