When I go to 'my preferences' the system tells me a) that I am in Alabaster; and b) chucks me out altogether and I have to sign in again.
Gladly despite this, I am still in my own preferred skin. (forgotten the name but I think it begins with B)

The preferences error has been reported and I believe there are people working on it.
