Guardian Angels working overtime
IctoanAWEWawi Posted Nov 26, 2009
I'd like to go to Albuquerque.
Just so I can say "Albuquerque" a lot.
Albuquerque
Dunno why I like saying that.
Maybe I'm just a bit strange.
Albuquerque

A young man from old Albuquerque
Went swimming in waters too murky
His mother said, "Jim
"I said please don't swim
"In that mud - or you'll catch the feared lurgy"
3 minutes. Sorry - should try harder.

Very dear GB,
Sorry I have just heard of your near miss. How fantastic that you were driving well and on the alert.
Well done my dear friend. Take care over the holidays.
With affection to your family, and a big to you!!
Christiane.

back again - from albuquerque - yes, it is fun to say - bugs bunny said it alot - I do too
The turkey, now a symbol of the Thanksgiving holiday, was once a candidate for the symbol of the whole United States, a position of honor that the Eagle took. The turkey's candidacy ended after someone correctly pointed out that turkeys are very silly birds.
Having just returned from albuquerque
I was alert when I started, and perky
but the sheer press of cars
has chafed off my arse
and has left me all twitching and jerky
(that took rather longer to compose than I'd like to admit )
Drive safely everyone - it makes the angels jobs easier

My dear Trillians Child,
I could not sleep so came to chat to my friends.
I saw a posting of yours and decided to go to you home page.
Lo and behold I see you mentioning the fact that you came to the big meet in Hyde Park in 2002- and I remembered that that was the first big event that I attended.
And wonder of wonders. Two photos of AlsoRan in her wheelchair are there. Plus one of Bernadette with their first child. and my son K in the background in the second wheelchair photo which are in the second line of photographs.
I had been asked by Amy Pawlowski to place a cutout of herself next to me. She had just been on a visit to the UK and was desolated not to be at the meet. This I did and all the friends she had met came up and said a metaphorical Hi to her. It was really kind of the organisers to ask me to do this. There was also a very energetic soccer match that afternoon.I met a lot of young friends, but sadly have lost touch with some of them. They have disappeared up North and to Scotland I think.
I remember Gnoman coming up to me and saying
"Hello AlsoRan - I am Gnoman."
I understood "No-man" and was totally nonplussed- which was obviously what I was supposed to be!! He had to spell his name before I understood to whom I was talking. !!
And so, my getting up at this early hour was quite the best thing I could have done in order to make me realise that I have so many friends. That even if my family (except for Keith) have written me off in the way of being long past my "sell-by date", I do have a family of friends who have been faithful and loyal and who are so considerate of both myself and my son Keith.
So thank you for writing about Alburqueque which I read in an intrigued fashion. And for your many other postings which I enjoy.
May I put you down as a friend?
With much affection
Christiane

There was a man from Albuquerque,
Who had an affair with a Turkey,
He said, with a wobble,
It's good at it's gobble,
It's making me feel rather jerky!
Sorry...

for the Guardians; thank goodness you are OK!
yeugh, i hate traffic stuff, having been knocked over three times; i'm paranoid in cars, even if i know the driver is (like you) a very good cautious one, it's the other idiots i worry about.
P just had his van serviced, then when he went out in it, discovered somehow the garage had messed with the speed control rev counter thingy; so had a nasty moment when trying to overtake.
he's a good sensible driver, but is off on two day Inspection trip tomorrow; i will be on pins till he gets back; pass the guardian angel to the left hand side!
