Cleethorpes Boating Lake
Galaxy Babe - eclectic editor Started conversation Jun 8, 2008
Phew, GB logging in from Heatwave Central
I'm impressed with the refurbishment our local beauty spot has hadit's now twice the size it was, a sparkling new fountain and a new bridge, some tree-planting has gone on, and a new observation building which I couldn't find the door for oh and there were some cygnets and baby ducks
Good job I remembered my camera, eh?
Even the tourist trap refreshments hut was open so I treated myself to a honeycomb icecream before I set off home

Brilliant photos GB; and what an improvement I'm sure MMF will correct me if I'm wrong but I reckon your mystery bird is a coot.

Looks pretty awsome it reminds me that I need to get over to the boating lake in forest park before it gets to hot to row

scorp, I've changed that now

Pheloxi, next time I go down the the seafront I'll take my camera so you get some of my sea views

I have very fond memories of Cleethorpes, used to have a fortnights holiday every year with my grandma/granddad as a kid

Civilization seems nice - at least from your photos it does.
I must try it sometime.

I've just got back from Cleethorpes seafront, wow, it's busy, the horizon over the Humber was hazy, on a clear day you can count the ships but not today, took some good pictures though, might make another album...bloomin' whipped icecream, you can never eat it quick enough before it starts to leak out the bottom of the cone, I've got drips all down the front of my jeans

you got icecream that is too thin, not enough icecream stuff to thicken it and you paid too much or too cheap cone. I hate fraudulent icecream makers.

It was OK, I should have eaten it quicker, but I was juggling my camera at the top of Ross Castle:

oh I am so happy it's been rebuilt. I was afraid when I went there that it would be gone, and I have childhood memories of that place.
