Ecoli. Salmonella. Listeria. Lots of lovely, gut-wrenching stuff.
We used to do testing for Environmental Health - food poisoning complaints, restaurant food-hygiene problems etc. - and also did a lot of Quality Control testing for local food companies, making sure their products were safe to be sent out into the shops. Our longest running customer was a rather famous Aunt who makes Yorkshire Puddings. I can vouch for them, we almost never got any problems from them...
Sadly we got undercut, price-wise, by automated labs, so we had to close that section down. We're just a clinical lab now.
