I've just read your PS - I wasn't sure who Daniel was.
Found the thread to him, which says all it needs to.
Before I had kids of my own, I'd have just said "Oh, that's a shame", wished you well, and moved on. Being a dad makes it different. I know the love you experience as a parent, and can begin to understand how you must feel.
