Thank you so much.

I can't bring myself to be angry at God - who am I to say what should and shouldn't be.

My faith assures me that Laura is in a beautiful garden and with loved ones gone before.

The funeral was very moving, there were so many young people there, who were all deeply affected.

I am slowly coming to terms with things, my son has a lot of support from the family {he lives with my older daughter and her family} and his friends have rallied round as they all loved Laura too. The youth of today are luckier than my generation, in the way that they are so tactile with each other and can show their feelings. Everyone was hugging Allan, even his male friends, that would have been a no-no when I was 19...I don't even recall hugging my female friends when I was a teenager, and I wish I had.

Last Thursday I took Allan's godmother to the Spiritualist Church for some healing for us both. This year she's lost her mother, and she lost her older son aged 22, a few years ago. The lady healer gave us both some very personal messages - which I won't divulge.

I'm truly blessed with the friends and family that I have.

If anything, when something tragic like this happens in your life, whether close or nearby, if it makes you take stock and value and treasure what you have and appreciate it more, then something good does come out of the loss.

What a wonderful reply - you really are a very special woman - someone to be treasured.

So glad that you have the comfort of being so centred and open - and that you went to see the spiritualists. They can be so very helpful.

It's worth going to www.silentunity.org where they have an email prayer line - and they will write you a lovely letter if you ask them to pray for you (even to the UK from the US).

I've found their prayer help wonderful over the years; and it has brought miracles.

And yes, it does teach us to live life for now. Use the best glasses; drink the good wine that you were keeping for a special occasion; use the money to go on holiday somewhere special. The good memories are more important than anything else we've got.

Many blessings to you and yours

I keep making exactly the same mistake with that smiley myself.smiley - biggrin
It *is* a smiley, love is more than just a red heart.

I was trawling the sites when I was grieving and I found a site which had it as "Quote of the Day".

Thank you for that link, I have already written Laura's family and my son in the remote healing book at the Spiritualist Church.

I'm so glad...prayer and healing can help so much.

When my husband was very ill my Dad had to go abroad on a business trip and he sat with a couple of members of an American Gospel Choir on the plane. He asked them to pray for Henry and me and they said they would - for three months.

I actually felt the difference...both when they started and when they finished. I woke up one morning and knew that I felt 'less supported'. I couldn't explain it...and I went to church that afternoon because of it...and then I counted up the time back to when the group started praying for us.
