So they killed Franz...
Hati Posted Sep 8, 2007
I've been there only once ever and I have this vague feeling that nothing there can beat the first time.
Yet, I want to see the zoo. And many other zoos, for that matter. So far I've seen only seven, methinks.

I had to stop and think. I've seen 5 zoos. So you are ahead of me. And I've seen two wild animal parks.

No wild animal parks here.
Next zoo I want to see is either Berlin or Kaunas, Lithuania. But then, my brother went to see the zoo in Prague this summer and he was really thrilled, so probably I must add that one to the list as well.

Burgers Zoo in the Netherlands was very impressive but I think I like Copenhagen Zoo better. And the worst is definitely Moscow Zoo, that was a disaster. Then again, I was there ~20 years ago.

I like the ones that are a bit more modern and try to recreate the natural habitat somewhat. Since I will probably never be in any of those cities, I will trust your judgment.
Now I am turning the computer off for the night. I still have a very messy kitchen to clean up. I really am sorry about Franz. It is a very sad story.

Yep, those are the kind.
As about Franz, it's always humans' fault, not the animal's. That's a shame.

Ah yes Hati you're right, it's always the humans fault. Animals adjust or adapt to captivity, but it's not their natural state...that is a shame!
But, some photos of our zoo...actually animals in our zoo.
http://www.mynameispaula.com/zoo.html ...hmm, very 'ordinary' animals though. They(the zoo)have two red panda cubs

Also here, autumn is settling in after no summer to speak of. The weather is beautiful. Sun and blue sky.
