Hej allesammen! Ottox har sent meg her for at ove min Dansk!
Please don't anybody mention the about of mistakes that sentence had in it.
I used to be fluent, as I lived there for a year when I was eight. Gradually over the years, its gotten worse and worse. Now I'm only as good as you nead to be when talking to your mum about private things in the presence fo strangers and humouring Danish relatives.

Hej BT2
Jeg er sikker på, at du er velkommen til at øve dit danske sprog her. Og bare sig til, når vi skal rette dig
I gather that your mum is Danish? But where is this English bookshop-less place you live?

Hello , excellent thread
Yeah, Mum (Mor)'s Danish. And I'm Australian. But that's all I'll say... I'm worried that if i tell where I live then that will become the only thing that interests people about me.

Oh, heavens! Du Godeste! Don't even think it! To be without internet! *shudder* And mentioning it so close to bedtime! How evil!
I just spent the summer in Denmark on a fruit farm. Ah, the joy of waking up at 5 a.m. to crawl along on raw knees in the rain picking strawberries! It was great.

Close to bedtime? Here it is only 6 pm.
The last time I w*rked on field was 20+ years ago. I must admit that first few days weren't much of a w*rk anyway.

I know the sensation of crawling on raw knees early in the morning - in my case it was onions - and 30+ years ago. Sweet memories.
Where was this fruit farm, BT2?

hi bt2 - and welcome
who cares where you live. is a godforsaken planet anyway, innit? tau epsilon beta on the other hand...
but i digress - as usual. but hey, most hootooers do, so what the
what i wanted to say is: what is you gender, age, occupation et cetera. Are you married? do you own a parakit? do you like pancakes?
these are the things we *really* like to know around here - and not necessarily in that order
right, guys?

Hati Posted Nov 24, 2003
I like pancakes! Most definately!
And my Danish class is canceled for tonight.
I am way too busy today anyway.

Santragenius V Posted Nov 24, 2003
I very much like pancakes - and I am good at making them (my children says so it must be right!)
On the other jand, I don't own a parakit....

BT2 Posted Nov 25, 2003
*pancake snob*
It depends on the quality and texture, the temperature and depths, the layers of flavour, and the garnishes applied.
No parakeets
s though.
Hati's Danish thread
Pierre de la Mer ~ sometimes slightly worried but never panicking ~ Posted Nov 25, 2003
that would explain the absence of parakeets
you are right, santragenius. the only judges to consider in a pancake-contest beside yourself is your children
did you know that marsvin grow fins and become sea-animals, as in small whales, as they grow older, hati? look it up in a dictionary or encyclopedia if you don't trust me
