Mmyes, the red storm is definitely a cool thing to see, but I'd rather keep it in tv. RL weather should be.. pleasant.

Indeed. We shouldn't have to breathe in earth and eat earth and have everything taste of earth. But it's stopped now, which is the main thing.

It's one thing liking the natural world, it's quite another getting it up your nose... I'll happily get along without another dust storm.

How are things in your part of the world? Cleaner than this, I expect...

Oh sure, our corners get washed every now and then. Mostly the weather is just cold and windy. Then again, it's still all above 0C, so I shouldn't complain.

Temperatures above 0C are my favourites - as long as they stay below 25C. Anything over that is unnecessary, in my opinion.

Hati Posted Sep 24, 2009
I so agree with you. In fact I'd even limit it to 15...25C. I'm not too fond of cold either.

It was 21C yesterday - it's probably a bit less than 10C today. I've spent the day in bed and only just emerged. It's 3:30pm. I wonder what I should have for breakfast.

Spending a day in bed is a good thing to do. Especially if you have books.

It's one of my favourite pastimes. Well, not being miserable, though. Usually I am anyway. So is the weather.

I'm trying to stay awake for a while - I need to email Tartaronne, and tidy the kitchen, and make sure I have something to wear tomorrow. After that I can sleep.

I was a bit busy with gardening at my mother's. And now it's Monday again and I must look around if there's any w*rk to do.
Lydia Koidula
Ivan the Terribly Average Posted Sep 28, 2009
I could give you some of my w*rk, if you don't mind talking to economists...
Lydia Koidula
Hati Posted Sep 28, 2009
I am pretty sure they would mind talking to me. I am hopeless and helpless with numbers.
Lydia Koidula
Ivan the Terribly Average Posted Sep 28, 2009
Me too - that's why I'm trying to avoid the economists. But I have no choice, and no chance of avoiding them now. Tomorrow will be full of economists; I just have to cope somehow.

Now there's a question - what's worse: no job or a job I hate? (Let's leave out all the stuff I am not able to do.)
Lydia Koidula
Ivan the Terribly Average Posted Sep 29, 2009
I think having a job you hate would be worse. I've had times when I've had no job, and it's well-known that I had a job I hated, and the job was definitely worse.
When I was unemployed, at least my time was my own and my thoughts were my own - even if I had no money. When I had that awful job, it ruined my life. And it didn't pay that well either.
