But somehow, no matter how often I say that I'm going to win the lottery I never do. smiley - brave Maybe I should buy a ticket one day.

I'm part of a lottery syndicate at w*rk, so maybe one day I'l get something. Last week, one of our numbers came up. It's a pity about the other seven, but it's still a good start.

Oh well... There's no harm in trying. At least that's what I tell myself when I don't win. smiley - zen

Of course, there'd be even less harm in winning, but we can't have everything...

Nor me. Let's see if tomorrow's lottery draw is any good. (Probably it isn't, but there's only one way to find out.)

How's your planning with Tartaronne?

Lydia Koidula

Post 31

Ivan the Terribly Average

I've given Tartaronne a few links and other bits of information that might help. We haven't picked a date to meet yet; I'll wait a couple of weeks to arrange that, once a few other parts of Tartaronne's journey have become clearer.

In the meantime we're discussing writers from Australia and Denmark. I haven't found any Danish books (in translation) here, apart from Hans Christian Andersen smiley - rolleyes and Karen Blixen...

So, how's it? I found an Estonian grammar book and cd in the local bookstore. Should I go and get it and ship it off to Australia?

smiley - bigeyes

I'm in two minds about this.

First, of course I'd like to have a grammar book to help me out.

Against that, though, is the question of how much it will cost you. I don't want to put you to any serious expense.

Actually, make that three minds. The third thing is that if you do send me the grammar, I have no idea when I'll have time to start using it. (I haven't even picked up the Koidula book in weeks.)

So I don't know. Perhaps the best thing is if you tell me what you would like in return... smiley - gift As long as it can be sent in the post, I'll see what I can do. smiley - smiley

Three minds? Interesting expression. I have only one for the time being and even that is absent every now and then. So one of these days I'll go to the bookstore. It's so in outskirts, so it takes some effort to force myself to hike there. Should be healthy though.

The weather should certainly be better by the time Tartaronne is here. At least, I hope it will be...
