London meet, plans move to winter....
Posted Jul 22, 2005
Well I think the Summer meet went well. A bit of a pity we didn't have the picnic this year, as the weather would have been great for it, though I think Hyde park was being invaded by REM fans; I happened into a couple at Kings Cross on my way to the pub. a few suggestions have come up for the next meet, and also ideas on trying to bump the numbers attending back up. So for the next meet, Name badges (not badgers, unless you like), Will be reintroducted in force; and we'l try to have as used to be the case, a prize for the most inventive/best name badge. Other than that I'm watching the ideas that are coming up on the threads post-meet chatting to see if there are any other concrete things we might do. At the moment, the quizz looks likely as a probable 'out' for future meets, perhaps we will 'trial' not having a quizz at the next winter meet. Though this does strike up the question of other ways of being able to give out goodies as prizes (though some can for the name badges as discussed). There are a few ideas on this knocking about Thanks to everyone who was able to make it to the meet, and better luck next time to those unable to attend

London summer meet 2005; plans...
Posted Jan 14, 2005
Well perhaps its a little* early to be thinking of the summer meet, but I am anyhow Location is I think agreed on as being the Bell Book and Candle again for the evening, as I only heard positive comments on the venue, though if we get a good number more people this time we will probably have to nab the bottom bar too or instead of just the top bar. which only* leaves the date to be decided apon, and the afternoon activity.
The afternoon activity I think has pretty much always been the picnic variety in hyde park. Unless we can dream of anything else instead. thoughts?
