London Spring-Summer meet 2011- A79731967 Started conversation Jan 14, 2005
Well perhaps its a little* early to be thinking of the summer meet, but I am anyhow Location is I think agreed on as being the Bell Book and Candle again for the evening, as I only heard positive comments on the venue, though if we get a good number more people this time we will probably have to nab the bottom bar too or instead of just the top bar. which only* leaves the date to be decided apon, and the afternoon activity.
The afternoon activity I think has pretty much always been the picnic variety in hyde park. Unless we can dream of anything else instead. thoughts?

I was so sorry I had to miss the winter meet and am definitely going to be there for the next summer one. To be honest, it isn't too soon to start organizing, especially for those (like me!) who will have to book flights in advance in order to get a good deal.
So, now what?

Well, the 6th of August would be really bad. So not that day ok?

Well the last meet in the summer was the tenth July, and the last summer meet before that, the last 'offical' one was on the 28 June, so its a case of getting people together to find out a mutually acceptible date, this is very early to be organising it, as a lot of people probably won't know what they are up to in the summer till nearer the time, but as you say people like yourself will want to book flights etc long as possible beforehand....

I'm not really here Posted Jan 14, 2005
My vote will be for the first weekend of any month, but I should be able to make any Saturday evening really. I've got lots of family around me these days for babysitting duties.

Early July or late June would be good - I'll be the thinnest I'll ever be (planning to let myself go as soon as the ink is dry on the marriage certificate ), and will still have long enough afterwards to recover before the big day.

June or July then:
Febuary is the Burton? meet.
April/beginning of may is the badger blackpool bonkers spring weekend meet.
so June or July would fit nicely into what is clealry becomign a diary contianing only H2G2 meets and nothing else of imporance

I'm not really here Posted Jan 15, 2005
I'd prefer the first weekend in July - the first weekend in June is a bit too close to my birthday and will also be the last bit of the May half term. And it could well be far too cold for sitting in a park.
