"The State I Am In" by Belle and Sebastian ! I guess this album - Tigermilk - is "Album Of The Summer 2000" for me.

Very nice!
Hello guys, my song for the 11th of September: 'Promise me' by Beverly Craven
And as we already have the 12th of September (can't sleep, it's 2.30 a.m. ) here's my song of the day: 'Morning has broken by Cat Stevens
Morning has broken
like the first morning
blackbird has spoken
like the first bird
praise for the singing
praise for the morning
praise for them springing

I used "Promise Me" for ear training some years ago. It's a lovely song. Unfortunately it's the only song of Craven I remember.
Song for today... we'll see tomorrow
(and something must be wrong with your watch. It couldn't be 2:30 when you posted )

I prefer 'here comes my baby' by Cat Stevens althoug again, she's coming with another guy (see Joe Jackson)
seems like I'm dedicated to situations like these - hopefully only in pop songs

Hi DD,
congrats about Britain's first gold medal. The song is very up to date, then.
BTW: did you see the opening ceremony? I saw only few pictures, but in my opinion the part with the olimpic fire, with all this water - was just amazing.

Yes, I agree. Although I'm not so for politics (and this was also a political decision), but in this particular case it was a very good one.

Bad weather - cold, I would prefer to stay all day in bed, just reading or... having nice company, so it could bring me near to heaven. *sigh*
So my song for today: 'Knocking on heaven's door' by Oscar Peterson (the Gun's and Roses version is not bad, though)

never heard of 'knocking on heaven's door' by Oscar Peterson - 'though there are a lot of versions around
so what's my song for today...got it now
'Suspicious minds' you can choose if you prefer the Elvis Presley original or the fine young cannibals version.
I love 'em both
