Song of the Day-2001!!!
Bassman - Funny how people never ceases to amaze me! Posted Jan 4, 2001
~ Surprised ~
The Electric Light Orchestra. I was quite a fan of theirs in the mid to late 70's. I bought a Best of CD of theirs a while ago, only to find that there was another available at the same time with more and better tracks on
Bassman.
Almost forgot, today's tune will be "Ripples" by Genesis. I just got the second "Genesis Archive" with a stunning live version of this on. I'd not heard it for a few years. Taken from the first album after Peter Gabriel quit the band in '75 - A Trick Of The Tail.

Warren Zevon with REM's Bill Berry, Peter Buck and Mike Mills; what a combination! a complete LP with Coversongs in a traditional Blues & Country style, sometimes songs you never expect to even smell like blues

Raspberry Baret by Prince?
Can't imagine that as blues... but I love the song!
And now back to Neil Young.
When You Dance I Can Really Love...
I've got something to tell you, you make it show.
Let me come over, I know you know
When you dance I can really love.
Song of the Day-2001!!!

Ottox, believe ot or not, but it works pretty good as a straight rythm & Blues number
my song for the rest of the night:
'our house' by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
"our house, is a very, very, very fine house, with two cats in the yard, they used to be so smart, and everything is easy 'cause of you..."

yes indeed
'you are likew a hurricane'
think it took me about three years to find out that this song was originally written by Neil Young and not by the Mission
- though, i like both versions
Song of the Day-2001!!!
Ottox Posted Jan 7, 2001
Don't know it by the Mission, but as far as I remember I've had it as Song of the Day earlier in the thread!
One of the very best concerts I ever have been to, was Neil Young in 1993. (He was brilliant in '96 as well, but '93 was !!!)

Ottox Posted Jan 7, 2001
As most of the concerts I've been to: At the Roskilde Festival.
As far as I remember he did play with Pearl Jam at the festival area later in the summer, but I didn't see it...
And thinking of Pearl Jam and Roskilde Festivalen almost makes me ...

Bassman - Funny how people never ceases to amaze me! Posted Jan 8, 2001
I got a copy of "Grace Under Pressure" by Rush recently.
- for all you "Fast Show" fans -
Today I will be mostly listening to - "Distant Early Warning".
An ill wind comes arising,
Across the cities of the planes,
There'll be no swimming in the heavy water,
No singing in the acid rain.
Red alert,
Red alert.
Of course not!
You can call me TC Posted Jan 8, 2001
Depressing.

Decadance Dance. Extreme
Honky-Tonk Woman (Stones .... boy did we have fun singing that)
