Morning!
Here's a steaming hot - just what you need on a freezing cold morning like this
The other half has taken our poor little out for her walk - she has no hat, no coat & no boots, but HE's completely wrapped up - poor little mite will get frozen, but I'm ready to give her a rub down with a towel when she gets in (might even warm some milk for her)
I'm cold even indoors with the fire on - would be an understatement
Good morning
U1250369 Posted Jan 26, 2005
Lovely. Very generous with the !!
Desperately cold here. Boiler's broken down and I'm typing in mittens.
Boys cycled to school, both wearing their Sherpa hats.
Your poor . Men can be thoughtless. on their way
Good morning

no heating! I'm glad I don't have central heating - heard too many tales of it breaking down & my mother had a terrible time with it a few years back. I rely on a couple of gas fires & an electric heater near the bathroom that turns on if the temp drops below a certain temperature. However, thank goodness for double glazing
Have you got a hot water bottle to hand? I find it's brilliant to warm up with (& comforting - aaah)
I take it you are at home? Or is this company policy to freeze the staff & expect them to work?
I threw on the
Good morning

No work today. Gas man's here ! He looks a bit , but his credentials are all ok. Honestly, they turn up in any old vehicle.
You are so wise not to have central heating. It can bring nothing but misery.
I hope mum's recovered from her experiences.
Saw your jokes
soon
Good morning
Shirps Posted Jan 26, 2005
Everything now? Getting warm & gradually shedding all those thick jumpers & socks?
Or has it turned into a real nightmare?
Oh yes, it happened after my father went into a nursing home & mum knew nothing about the heating (or anything!). But after about 6 months, after a succession of different engineers , the fault was discovered & fixed
Jokes? Me? - ah, on the word thread perchance - you picked it up!
Believe it or not I have just eaten + sausage + pickles, followed by a banananananananananana - can never work out how many ana's there are
Aside: ahem, AHEM! (just waiting for a - the other half is reading a book with the dog asleep on his lap. Sigh: suppose I'll have to put the kettle on - isn't life hard? )
Speak later - have you ever been to the Cross Purposes Pub? Go & have a look: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/A429310
Make sure you read at least a few of the previous pages though!
Good morning

Did you finish that brandy ? Here's a whiskey and a flask
Two ns in banana. Joker. Yes, you.
Thanks for the new site. Will look later.
Have a good day
Good morning
Shirps Posted Jan 26, 2005
for the flasks, etc., they'll definitely keep me going all evening!
When you get to it at the Cross Purposes Bar: I have a problem
I have no idea of how to get rid of the s, so if you have (but read what they've been made from!) either "chip" in & dispose of them in about a day - you'd be everyone's heroine I reckon - all their drink is disappearing (or let me know!) - just to keep you busy
I've just been thinking (yes, I know it doesn't happen very often!), but they obviously wouldn't like so they could be hosed down - like putting out a fire? I'd back you up!
Let me know. This site is crazy, but hey fun
Good morning
Shirps Posted Jan 27, 2005
Hang fire on that idea - for now
Everything back to normal?
I've been ill today - tried some onions last night just to see if they still have the same result - they did
Going to eat a little porridge now.
Have a good evening
Good morning
U1250369 Posted Jan 27, 2005
Reprieved !
All normal for me thank you
Onions ? Green, fried, pickled, little silverskin ones...Poor you
Here, I'll you for a little while
More porridge ? brandy ? Better now huh ?
Good morning
Shirps Posted Jan 27, 2005
Hi
Garlic & anything of the onion family I'm afraid - I used to have a cast iron stomach when I was younger
I managed most of the porridge, but no more thanks, am just having my 2nd normal , but feeling really fragile. On top of that I've pulled a muscle in my hip & my sugar levels are all over the place
It's my own fault for letting out those s
I'm keeping out of the way for now &,like you, lurking - just in case they solve it themselves Otherwise, when you're ready & if you want to, we'll do Plan A
Thanks for being a for me - really appreciate it. I'll just look around a bit & then go to bed again!
Good morning
U1250369 Posted Jan 27, 2005
I'm a garlic fanatic. Oops, sorry, I did ask you to stand back.
Hip ? Have you been dancing on the QT ???!!!
Have a good sleep, sweet dreams, rest those joints
