i still love snow, even after getting twice as much as normal this year. i've been led to believe that's because i'm "young" and that i'll get over it in time.

I'm on my way to being old, but
snow seems to be a constant about
a third of each year.
Sledding and snowman-building aren't in
my life any more. That leaves skiing,
which I was never any good at, and shovelling,
which I have to do because no one else
is here to do it. I haven;'t tried snowshoes yet.

i don't go sledding much anymore, and i can't remember the last time i built a snowman. i think snow is pretty. i love the way everything seems quieter in the snow, and i love the way a new snow looks fresh and clean. i can't imagine ever seeing snow as a nightmare, perhaps a setback - but not an unpleasant one.
i suppose if i lived somewhere that i had to clean my car off every day to get to work it would probably get a little old, but i don't see ever living somewhere like that because i don't like cold so if i ever moved to another part of the country i'd move south. i'd miss snow, tho

Thanks for the Crazy Man
I remember the first time I saw snow, I was 11 had lived in Texas about 9 years and that spring, though it was 70 degrees outside there was a foot and a half of snow on the ground. It hurt my head to comprehend how it got there. He He, talk about a spring frost
, and to my true
and for everyone else!

rain i'm a little more particular about. dull gray days that are wet from start to finish do nothing for me. but spring and summertime thunderstorms are wonderful . i'm hoping we can cover at least part of our deck this spring so when it rains i can stay outside
a foot and a half of snow in texas?? must've been nearly catastrophic! but with temps in the 70's it couldn't have lasted more than a few days.
i remember when i was little getting substantial snow on my birthday (which is in mid april, rather late in the year for snow). they called off school and grandma called me up and sang 'i'm dreaming of a white birthday' to me
