Gone quiet in here hasn't it Ming Mang ? Good to see you still here
Yup ! I've been making Christmas Cards to show off my calligraphic skills - and I've been binding my writing of the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam into a book - all 75 verses of it written out since May !
Two more classes before we close down for Christmas

Depending on the sources of reference that one chooses, Omar Khayyam is believed to have composed somewhere between 200 and 600 Rubaiyat (quatrains). Some are known to be authentic and are attributed to
him, while others seem to be combinations or corruption of his poetry, and whose origins are more dubious.
The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam is among the few masterpieces that has been translated into most languages,
including English, French, German, Italian, Russian, Chinese, Hindi, Arabic, and Urdu.
But only English is allowed here.

we have that effect on people
The reason for this post is strange, as I discovered a reference for Omar Khayyam in a completely random and unexpected place (search the word 'impropaganda' and look for stuff on discord or hyperdiscord, its great stuff). Unfortunately I don't think its the same one... but finding it reminded me of this thread... so I came back!
Funny old world...

Hi there HP - and thanks you Bornonthe....for your discourse on Omar Khayyam
The 75 verses I wrote out in calligraphy black letter are those normally published in English in this country
Hp - he was a Turkish mathemetican and astronamer and the rubaiyat as you will have gathered are his rantings about how he loves the wine
"Awake my little ones and fill the cup before life's liquor in it's cup be dry." An odd choice from on who is tee total (But I draky my share before I gave it up!)
Glad to see we are all back on line
