Pierce, you have that backwards. No self-respecting pirate would want time off for *good* behavior. Bad behavior would work much better.

Ok, let me come in spoil the fun!
Dragonfly, you didn't sign in in October 1998 as h2g2 didn't open before April 1999. Your userpage was created November 1st 1999.
And Shagbark, unless you had another account in the beginning, you are also a year younger than what you said. Your usernumber is post-Rupert, and your userpage was created March 29th 2001.
(For some reason the <./>newusers</.> page won't go further back than 2006, so I can't give the info I used to give, like that for Pierce "thursday 27. january 2000 a few minutes past 11 am" )
Apart from that: Congratulations!

In reference to post #46
I did indeed have an earlier number
My first Edited article (A375400) was done with the number U100311
It is no coincidence that the name there is hickory and a shagbark is a hickory tree.
When the BBC came to power my login for U100311 refused to work so Peta transferred my file to its current designation and I became shagbark.
I just noticed U100311 says created 2 February, 2000 so my ten years will be up sooner than I thought .

Just for the fun of it I tried to log in to U100311
and it said:
Access to your bbc.co.uk membership is temporarily locked
please answer the secret question.
so I answered it (amazing I remembered the answer after all these years)
and it said that was attempt 0 of 3
I tried a couple different spellings of the cats name
(Phantometer) it still said attempt 0 of 3
this is why Peta found it easier to just move my file to a different number.
'temporarily' locked for ten years

Maybe someone will invite the Tooth Ferry, and you can fly with her.

I understand, Pierce. It's been so ghastly cold and windy here, I don't even want to go out of the house, let alone to some other part of the world.
