Hope the 'hospital thing' with your daughter went OK and that it's nothing serious.
Between us we seem to be keeping the in work. Your beach thread continues to grow, soon it'll be longer than your local beach.
Have a great day Lanza

Thanks for the wishes, we're waiting for her results now, which could take weeks.
At least the beach discussion has moved on a bit - now it's all about flags. Fairy nuff!

Saw a PR thread where the auther thanked the (few) people who had answered, pleased that people had been reading his/her work. Chuckled as I realised that your beach thread would soon be hitting the centuary mark. You can't say it's being ignored.
I was tempted to post you some pseudi-science about sand or microscopic algae but I don't want you running after me, hitting me with that sun hat.
If you're still in the UK the sunhat might not be needed right now. I'll soon be off for a few days myself. Take care Lanza and hang in there
for you,
for me

about the hats - I am currently wearing my rain hat and sou'wester. I very nearly drowned here yesterday.
I think I am on question 4 - but I've no idea what to ask in line with my previous guesses.
4.Will you give me a clue (please)
and if you are off - do you mean off from hootoo?

not off for ever, for clues about that see post 36....
for the moment I'm off to think about some difficult/misleading 'clues'
Already got one, but the price is TWO questions. The weather forecast for tomorrow is 34°C, humidity 19%........

More stuff *that quick? I thought you meant in a few weeks or months, not days.
to take into hospital with you and
34°C, humidity 19%........
Hmmm - thanks!

Cyber-see you soon Lanza...... I hope to see your beach thread on the front page when I get back
Have fun (and lots of )

I'll be thinking of you - hope it all goes easily for you and you are back here in a trice.

Taking it so easy that I fell asleep ! (while slouched on a couch with my laptop on a little table)
So although my cyber 'eyes' were open, my real life eyes were closed.
Guess I need some
Have a bottle or two yourself.... first pager!

I'm glad you're back and 'relaxed' - I hope the weather is better where you are than here - it's gone really cold and rainy and horrid.
I bought myself a new hat - suitable for wearing when I go to our market town ( you know - the sort that has lots of farmers and their wives talking in the streets ) I've now got so many different sorts of hats I think I need a hat stand, or could use some of those pretty hatboxes that you can buy these days.
Take care and carry on recuperating!

'Hiding' in a way. I feel a little crappy and did'nt want to bore you with it (stiff upper lip stuff you know), on the other hand I wouldn't want to go for outright lies....
So *puts on bossy boots* that'll be enough about health talk for the mo....
I just realised that I never answered your question no. 5. So I'm delight to answer YES... and no. Depending whether you consider the day you asked the question or the day I answered it (not necessarily in that order!). Ha ha ! I guess that's got rid of any sympathy you were thinking of showing.
And what about you? and your daughter of course?
I'll bet you're the kind of person who hides your own health difficulties (just hôping that you don't have too many).
And your writing... What are you thinking of writing next? I really do think that the 'hazards of writing an entry' would be a great topic (too lazy to write it myself).
Are you still in the UK or have you escaped back to your island in the sun?
Have a great day Mrs L !

I think a stiff upper lip helps sometimes, it certainly gets you through tough bits of life. But I am sorry to hear that you were feeling crappy. I hope it soon gets better. ( still partly convinced you've had expensive cosmetic enhancements )
My daughter is not too bad thank you - she has always been really skinny and they are suspecting some sort of digestive prob. There are so many tests they can do these days.
I'm lost at the moment about the 20 questions and answers, I'll have to look at a map. Hmmmmm.....I thought this would be a bit easier
Enjoy the afternoon and hope you get a siesta

How can I deny the cosmetic surgery while secretly convincing that I now have the attributes of a sexy superstar

don't they say that beauty is only skin deep or something? true beauty lies within? (I'm not a literary buff- perhaps you get my gist) No, honestly I'm much more interested in a person's intellect and personality these days.
and do you know... its absolutely POURING down with rain here at the moment. typical bl**dy english summer.

Not-so-bald-eagle Posted Jul 23, 2009
we can't have beauty being only skin-deep AND laying within..... but I'm perfectly happy to be considered 'beautiful' inside and out
*cancels nose job*
to a lady beautiful through and through

Mornin' Lanza...
Hope your weather is better and you're thinking about getting out that snazzy sunhat again.
P.S. Stiff upper lip seems to be setting... If it looks like a duck and walks like a duck, it had better go and see the quacks
(pathetic attempt at humour)
But still.....
