you should not be concerned
it is apparent to me that your brain harbours a sound and effective psychological filter that prevents you from remembering any of the horrifying sick and perverted dreams you have

Ah, but sick and perverted dreams are a godsend for any writer who specializes in horror. Edgar Allan Poe had some awful dreams, as did Robert Louis Stephenson.

I've not had a memorable dream for ages. Sometimes I have lucid dreams, which are great fun. You can do things in dreams that are impossible in real life. I suppose one good thing about not having to work for a living is that you can sleep until your body says 'wake' and by then the dreams have dissolved into the ether.

My favourite vodka, which I don't drink often, the lime infused sort by Sm*rn*ff. As far as I can work out, you can only buy it on board an airplane. So this makes it the most expensive alcohol yet, and also the most environmentally unsound.
Tonight I had a glass of under the moonlight. The wind has been from the South-east all day, bringing in a lot of Saharan sand. I'm glad to be away from flu germs and Christmas shopping, but I suppose I will have to get my head round present buying sooner or later.

The appeal of vodka escapes me. It is said that it has no taste, yet it's more expensive than water, the other common beverage that has no taste. Save money and just drink water.

Being a serious alcoholic is a horrible way to end your life - and even worse for those around you. I know I joke about drink here on hootoo, and even as I write I have a small glass of needing to be finished - but there is a wide divide between a couple of drinks in the evening and a couple of bottles per day.
Another practical matter is one's driving licence. Driving is *so* much more a life line to me than being a little tipsy now and then.

The next evolutionary stage in motor transport should be cars that drive themselves. All cars could be fitted with chips that send out signals about their locations. They could also read those signals and arrange not to get too close to each other. Put more chips along the roads, so the cars know where the boundaries are, and maybe some scanning devices to spot things that are not fitted with chips (pedestrians, deer or moose in the road, etc.).

And then when we get an electronic malfunction (all you need to do is see how badly a simple central locking system can fail) all hell will break loose and nobody will go anywhere. We'll all be on the phone to our IT people instead...
I dont mind auto taxis/buses. I do mind auto cars. People should learn to drive and drive properly or not do it at all. It's a priveledge, not a right and things that lighten the driver's load simply make them, in my opinion, more dangerous...

I enjoy driving, but sometimes it is absolutely divine to have someone else drive *me*. I can gaze at the view, be nosy and stare at other peoples houses, turn round and have an ogle at *interesting* people In fact I have just been driven round all morning by BF, it's been lovely.
I never tell them how to drive, slow down or hurry up. I suppose it would suit me fine to have a programmable vehicle. Unless I could afford a chauffeur to go with my
and butler.
