Pierre de la Mer ~ sometimes slightly worried but never panicking ~ Posted Dec 9, 2009
nope. i only need a few pairs of comfy shoes, boots, trainers and cycling shoes. and i prefer them to be black or similar discrete coloues
in my younger yours i experimented with rather flamboyant clothes and foot wear, but all that is behind me now

in real life my late ex-father-in-law had a peg leg - well, artificial limb, really
- you must save a lot on shoes, i said
- nope, the peg led needs a shoe as well, he answered

the development of prosthetic limbs has come on leaps and bounds(for want of a better sentence)and the wearers now have a better sort of normality with they're use
but a 's wooden leg (probably from Long John Silver)is immortalised for ever

My house looks as if some crazy woman took everything out of all the wardrobes and cupboards in the bedrooms, threw the contents on the beds, and left them there. Then went into the kitchen and cooked a surprise pudding ran off to a very long party - came back and collapsed with shock at the sight of everywhere.
Oh well The pud tasted nice, I just had leftovers for breakfast.

I'm hungry. No breakfast today...
As for shoes, there's plenty of choice for men if they are willing to look. My best friend got together with a man who is the same foot size as her, they share trainers, of which he has around thirty - forty five pairs in various colours including pairs that are unpaired and swapped (i.e. a green one and a black one that otherwise match, green laced with black laces, black laced with green laces...)

It's interesting that you all should be discussing shoes. This morning as I was putting on my shoes, I had to stop and look for the shoe that goes on my third foot. It took me a while to realize that I only have two feet.
I'm glad I don't have to look for mnatching shoes. If I did, it would take forever to get out the door in the morning.

Have a Paul. I'm not exactly sure whether you mean you *never* wear matching shoes, or that you were seeing double this morning when getting dressed.
The way to treat shoes is to keep the pairs together, preferably in boxes Never let them get the upper hand (or foot
)

very funny
- it was a surprise in that I didn't know in advance I had to take a pudding with me - I had to make one up on the spot, and it was a shock it turned out as well as it did. If my friend had thought about it, she would have asked me to make something savoury. I don't really make desserts.
I think it should have been called 'Shock-Choc'

Yes, I keep my shoes together in pairs. However, for an instant I imagined that shoes were supposed to be kept in groups of *three*. I'm glad I realized what sillness this was before it ruined my day.

just kidding, lanzababy, of course i trust you when you say your pud was yummy
paul, i am told it is not healthy to wear the same shoes day in and day out, so having a third one to change with sounds like a good idea
but four shoes would probably make it easier to walk

Pierce, you are SO right about it being healthy not to wear the same shoes everyday. It is just another good reason to own so many. Purely for the health of my feet
