Indeed, been quiet next door for a couple of days

we used to have a noisy one across the road, the youth of the house was a and would have stereo on full blast with bedroom window open, plus a few year on,we had another up the street

Apart from them we've been really lucky with out neighbours

I have to agree with you this time Coral, my neighbours either side are brill' and one across the road

I preferred it when I used to live at home, all the street knew each other and all helped at times, like someone asking another(when ill)I'll do some shopping for you and such as taking someone's washing in, if it started raining - not seen so often now

So true, when my dad died there was a wreath from the neighbours and when I got married all the neighbours came out to wish me well

most of the street,even though I've lived here for 22 yr now, still sort of keep themselves to themselves and as memory is bad, I never bother about names, just to say morning etc

We've been here 10 and only know a couple of people by name

it don't worry me, but there isn't the closeness of where I lived as kid

Same here, the nice thing is the kids do still play in the ally's behind the houses around here

luckily, we are on a main bus route and the shortness between the two roundabouts at each end of the street, means no playing on the road/area, not that there are any kids in the street anyway as such

Everyone around here knows kids play in the ally's around here so there's no saftey worries

teatime ish, I've been watching the highlights of the tour on itv 4there has been some right crashes so far

one who crashed yesterday I think, found he's completed the race with a broken wrist, and a footballer if tappedwimps!
