Using google maps and a website I use, that shows distance between 2 "points" I'm judging that he resides about 25 mile away from the Palisades and Altadena wildfires
I truly hope that he isn't under any evacuation orders ect

I know what you mean. I've got friends in California but she's about 80 miles north in Monterey but she's had her fair share on environmental problems up there

My Hootoo mate in L.A. Madsnacker (another good/close friend made in 2008)
lives about 25 mile away from the 2 major fires I'm waiting "hopefully" for an email to say he's ok etc......

I saw on bbc news tonightthat internet access etc is down in many areas of L.A. due to the fires etc

It's very scary for everyone, they just don't know how quickly it's going to turn

Regional Santa Ana are unpredictable but can "hit" at speeds of up to 80 odd miles per hourfanning the embers etc
