The gods of today, are destined to become the same as the gods of the past, just stories/written/tv/film etc. Because as we "see" further out into space and understand more of the universe, mankind will just stop believing or even invent new gods. Probably invent new ones unless visited by

now, in the year 2016 and how much we (as mankind) know and have learnt about life, the universe and how it all began etc etc.
Why has NONE of the "gods" from the past/present ever reappeared to claim that "THEY" are the only true "god" and "they" created everything.

easy answer! none of them ever existed, mankind thought them up in stories that stuck

Well! That's the 16th year nearly over since the "2000/1-second coming" and STILL no appearence of any type of fictional deity, just think of all the birthday presents he/she (Who said it was a male ?) is missingeven thought the birth wasn't anywhere near Christmasas THAT date was nicked from the Pagans I think ??

IF! born in a stable ? how did his parents go about housing/work, bringing him up and school/education ?
If born as king etc ? you'd think that his life would be scrutinized at every event, like royalty of today ?
yet nothing documented ?

This planet is on the brink of mankind and it's stupidity, in wiping virtually every life-form from the face of the earth - IE: nuclear/biological and all other modern forms of mass destruction weapons.
SO! if there's a "god" I'd think by now that it would get it's act together and appear to the populous and show them some form of leadership "again" as every "commandment" was broken within minutes

IF life on this planet ends - "god" hasn't no followers is it that thick!!!!

So it's said, that God created mankind in his own image ?

so! does god have DNA ? if yes! then he/she has to a carbon based life-form = from afar

if "god" created the universe etc and as many humans say "we" are the only life-form in all the universe (apart from all other life forms on the planet, from microbes upwards they fail to recognise) why ? did "he" only implant sperm by artificial insemination into one female human ? on one planet out of millions of planets in billions of galaxies ?

did he go to family planning ???

once again, it looks like the (non existent) "Shepard" isn't bothered about protecting his/her flock

in all the comprehensible vastness of the universe, that is beyond any human scope of imagination, where was "god" and "what" was he/she doing ? before the concept of creating the known universe began ?

If a "being" can create a whole universe etc and after millennium of watching said universe etc and seeing all the errors "it" made, especially on planet earth, you'd think that said being would do a total wipe-out and create a universe MK2 with design flaws removed and amended

It would only mean design flaws compounded.

What with Hurricanes/Typhoons/Cyclones, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, weapons of mass destruction, fighting "wars" over religion/power/politics or just individuals killing for the sake of their mentality and or any other reason under the sun

and all the "gods" do is sit back and watch and do nothing, what are they waiting for ? the total destruction of all life, so "they" can have another go at being all powerful "gods" ?

not much good they are eh! if they can't get it right at the first go shows they aren't all that powerful dun't it

didn't "god" know about the human sexes ??
If god created "man/Adam" why give him nipples ? before creating "woman/Eve" ?
must have had a warped sense of humour maybe!

Throughout human history! How many "human's" have thought THEY were a god ? and in the same text, how many "gods" have appeared in reality to disprove it ?
