I have another piece of irrefutable evidence to prove they actually did go to the moon:

A couple of years ago there was a public astronomy lecture at Cardiff University and one of the people there was involved in some of the Apollo missions (I can't remember who or how). In the question and answer session at the end a Conspiracy Theorist stood up and challenged the panel to prove that the moon landings weren't a hoax. Needless to say he was shut up within a few seconds: Apparently the astronauts left a reflective plaque on the moon so that people from Earth could fire lasers at it to guage the precise distance of the moon. And they still use this plaque nowadays.

I like mentioning this little snippet to any "CT"s.

That would, I think, be the Lunar Ranging Retro-Reflector (LRRR)left at the Apollo 11, 14 and 15 sites.
Yup, it is irrefutable evidence to you and I, but not unfortunately to a CT. Their argument has evolved to:
'The LRRR's were placed on the moon's surface by unmanned probes like the Soviet Union's roving 'Lunokhod', to support the hoax.'
You can't win...

LRRR eh? I bow down to your superior moon-landings knowledge . Their argument is just sheer paranoia, and no, you cannot win against such a thing.

how come your nicknames are Deke and Ste? I was told in no uncertain terms by the rather snotty sign-up algorythm that my name had to have >six characters? You can see how conspiracies start

talking of which the internet seems to be the best place on earth, outside prison, to meet some truly disturbed people. And the CTs are right at the top of the list. If you took them to the moon and showed them the evidence they would still find a way of explaining it away as hypnosis or Hollywood.

The main evidence that the moon landings were a wysiwyg is that at least 30,000 people were directly involved in this amazing achievement; all of whom are now dead or retired (or very close to it). Yet not one deathbed confession.

Imagine a publisher getting a letter from a former NASA employee stating that they had irrefutable proof of the Apollo hoax....what would that be worth as a publishing advance? The fim and TV rights, the lecture tours? The figures would be ahem astronomical.!!!
It would almost certainly be the most successful modern non-fiction book of all time..and a multi squillion dollar movie to boot. Yet not one person of any significance has ever come forward...only the dreaded CTs

Thanks for your comments. Yes reading the various CT websites makes entertaining reading. I've learned quite a bit from them. But not what they want me to learn.

As far as the nickname goes I think you may be referring to the 'single sign on' name for the beeb's access. As far as H2 is concerned a name of any lenth is OK. If you click on 'My Preferences' you should be able to enter more or less what you like.

The actual number of people who worked on the Apollo program was more like 400,000. That's the number I hear most often.
