A hearty hi to you!
I know this greeting is pretty stupid, but IIm kind of fond of it. So please be not to harsh with me! Anyway...
Reading your entry, I recognized just once again that it really sucks not to hear the original voices!!! I mean, without hearing them, you can't really say if an actor is good or not, can you.
So I will not say, that Peter Wingfield is great - although he really seems to be... - , but his character certainly is. And you're right, we'll always prefer him. Oh, I heard there is some kind of cartoon about Methos... Is that right?
Bye

I have no idea about a Methos cartoon.I hope not, as it would rather spoil my conclusion
Peter Wingfield/ Pretty damn smooth though.

Hi!
I think this cartoon - and I really think there is one or should be coming - is about Methos' past or something. You know like The Raven is featuring Amanda... But why didn't they do a "real" thing with Methos aka Peter Wingfield, too!
Oh, and I just have to ask this - which conclusion?

The whole: Highlander will never die, thing. If its still going on TV, it's pretty pointless. Oh well.
As for a live action, it's possible Peter Wingfield was just busy filmign Queen of Swords or something.

"Queen of Swords"???? A movie with Peter Wingfield???
You know, in Germany Peter Wingfield is not very well known. I think, the only other times I've seen him - besides in Highlander - were in two other tv shows. Stargate and in a relativly new one - Strange World or something. Well, actually his character was there in one of the episodes before the one I've seen. So I only got a glimpse in the introduction...

It's another TV series. I don't know if it's still in production or if it crashed and burned in its first season though. But he seemed set to be a regular; a former assassin turned pacifist doctor IIRC.

Sounds not bad... sounds quiet good actually. But even if it doesn't "crashed and burned in its first season" - to qoute you - it'll take probably ages til it gets to Germany.
Oh, and a couple of minutes ago I watched an episode of Stargate where Peter Wingfield appears. Is it possible that he has taken two different charcters throughout the series? In this episode he was a Tokra called - S**t, I've really forgotten the damn name. But his host was called Hebron and the Goa'uld wanted to infiltrade the Tokra... Wait a second, maybe you don't even like Stargate... Sorry!

I'm down with Stargate, but I haven't seen much of it. I wouldn't put it past them to recast someone though, especially if the first appearance was brief.
Brian Thompson was in the very first episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, got killed, and later appeared as a totally different demon.
Likewise Lucy Lawless appeared as at least three different characters in Hercules before being cast as Xena, leading to a running gag in the Xena series where the world is full of Xena lookalikes.

Or like Nicholas Lea, right? He played another charcter appearing only in one episode before becoming Alex Krycek.

Exactly (although I did not know that).
Oh, and I can't find any indication of a Methos cartoon series, by the way.

A hearty hi to you!
Okay, I searched the web for that cartoon series - and I found it. But because I know we shouldn't write direct links here I will describe what you've got to type into that adress-field. Okay?
So, the name of the series is "The Methos Chronicles". Make that "[URL removed by moderator]" and put a "www" in front and a ".net" behind it and - there you go!

Ah-ha! Excellent. If I'm not very much mistaken - and I rarely am ;-p - this is an internet fan film (which would explain why no Peter Wingfield). Perfect for my conclusion.

No, you're right!!! You can watch it on the Internet. That's great 'cause it means a poor, little German girl - - can watch it, too!

I've added a mention of it to the bit on Highlander's internet survival in the article. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
