fizzy, I was just going to say, I had the old pair of tights/tennis ball combo too!

You've no hope, my kid has the hoop with a wheelie ball thingy and the contraption lights up when you roll it to skip.

(did you also, apart from putting it round your ankle and skipping over it) do that game against a brick wall where you bounced the ball from side to side, or between the legs/over the head?

Yes I did Sho - but I'd forgotten about it until now.
We also played two ball or three ball that's another thing I couldn't get my daughter interested in.
No Bel, we're just revisiting a simpler time.
