To be honest, I was thinking pretty much the same this morning. A bit of chatter is all nice and well, but after all, this isn't a playground, this is PR.

Not really, but there are a few posters here who are quite new to PR, and the impression they got, is that PR is here 'to play' - and who could blame them?

Well at the end of the thread for an excellent entry that nobody can think of anything else to correct about... *frowns, examines sentence, shrugs and goes on*
Well anyway, that was me saying, "Does anyone have anything to the point to say about this entry?"

I'm considering adding a boniefiddle reason for playing with clackers .... if Jules confirms she's not messing ..... *waits*

I'm not messing.
I currently work with profoundly deaf children who have had or may be going to have cochlear implants.
Clackers are one of the fun items in our box of noise-making goodies.

And if you are going to include it I would recommend linking here:
http://www.ndcs.org.uk/family_support/glossary/cochlear_implant.html
as a balanced organisation describing CI. There can be polarised views on the web but the NDCS are balanced and trusted.

How many people get to write the word 'clackers' in a bonefide official report?!

Brilliant - I've added a paragraph and hope it's accurate. Thanks for that.
Yippee .... I think I've just proved the point that even when a PR thread drifts, if someone has something to say - relevant to the entry - they'll say it.

Hi Fizzy..
I think that paragraph should be put at the very end, with a header of .. And Finally.. or something like that.
It would give more credence to the 'clacker test'.
What do you think?

I was in two minds, but I'm happy to go with yours ... being the best of three type thing.
Consider it done.
