I would tend to take that view. THe Entry loses some of its objectivity because of this, but I don't want to be giving the all clear for something we're not sure about yet.

Right here is my :-
First of all nice entry... I like it.
I dunno how many of the researchers here have "caned it" themselves but I certainly did for about two years (see my personal space under how I flunked out of uni first time around) so I think I can possibly comment on the subject.
First of all there is no doubt about it E is harmfull... perhaps the risks of dying or suffering a seriuos illness are statistically unlikly (which no doubt it is... it is just the media have a bit of hysteria about the subject, hell "Person takes E, has a good time and does not die" aint a great headline folks!) however it is my experience that prolonged use of E really messes people up on a psychological level. I spent about 6 months after I gave up really depressed.
Secondly in your terminology perhaps you could use the phrase "Double Drop" for whn a user takes two pills at the same time... always part of my vocabluary back in the day. Also when looking at the pseudenoms then surly some mention must be made of that most famous of UK pill the Mitzibushi or Mitzis.

Are Mitzis typical Ecstasy pills or are they just a nickname?

"Ecstasy - a drug so powerful it makes white men think they can dance - now thats scarey."

Very well-written article!
I am able to supply a personal experience of the "tried it, wasn't horrible, but not worth the hangover, cost or danger of getting smack in the mix" variety. I'm very new, so I'm not sure what the protocol or procedure is for assisting with an entry (if you want my assistance, of course).
I'm fairly sure that recommend only has one C. I saw that twice.
A close friend of mine from highschool (he was much older) got into E when it first got popular in San Francisco, was a frequent heavy user, and is now suffering from Parkinson's-type symptoms. That's not really hard scientific data, and prob'ly won't deter the die-hard e-tards, but it's my first-hand experience.
Not to sound like a D.A.R.E nerd or anything, but even if a dealer is reputable, with almost anything except marijuana, homemade methamphetamines or possibly mushrooms, they're not the person actually producing the drug. Due to the illicit nature of drug production and distribution, there's almost no way to know exactly what you're getting. Even the dealer doesn't know for sure, unless they just happen to be moonlighting at a full-service laboratory with high-tech testing facilities. They have to take the word of their* supplier (and so on), and like any business hierarchy, the further up you go, the less the people at the top give a flying wa-hoo about the people at the bottom (so long as the money keeps coming in).
I'm not a straight-edge activist, just horribly cynical about what nasty things people will get up to just to make a few bucks. It's not like you can call the Better Business Bureau to complain about getting bunk or poisonous drugs.

it really depends on the dealer. many dealers like having things like regular income, so it is within their interest to keep customers happy by supplying things of reasonable quality...

If any of you would like to add an account to the entry the correct procedure is to post the account here,or perhaps to the thread leading to the entry. The author of the entry then can cut and paste the text and put it into the entry, (incidently he should use place it bettween block quote and italic tags, at the end he should put a BR tag, and then on the next line, and not in the italic tag "one researchers experience.)
For example.
I took it once, wasn't that bad.

Ah, thank- you Z .
All corrections and accounts welcome .
I just tried the blockquote thing, it doesn't seem to be working.
Oh, there we go. Had a / on the wrong side.

Hmmmm.... In substance use research, ecstasy is classified as a stimulant, not as a hallucinogen, since it is an amphetamine derivative.

Ferrettbadger. The Renegade Master Posted Feb 19, 2004
When people take ecstacy they often have hallucinogenic experiences both in pill form; and also as pure MDMA powder. I know as it has happened to me.

Ecstasy - the drug
"Ecstasy, as the name suggests, is a mild 'psychedelic' or 'hallucinogenic' drug such as LSD,"
That's a bit misleading, makes it sound like Ecstasy is an umbrella term for all mild hallucinogenic drugs. Can I suggest 'similar to', instead of 'such as'?
"This Guide Entry purports in no way to be a recomendation of Ecstasy."
Mmm. "Purports" really means "claims to", which isn't quite what you mean, I think. How about
"This Guide Entry is in no way intended to be a recomendation of Ecstasy."
You've got a lot of US specific stuff here, can I suggest giving UK pounds as well as US dollars?

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
