It's not the same tho is it? You need the experience of turning pages and having a book to hold, on-line just doesn't do it..and you cant take an online book in the bath!

To Kill a Mockingbird just turned up in the post - and now I want to read it - it's just sitting there with its cool black funky cover and looking at me!!!

My Mocking Bird cover was from the film..I tried to buy it cheap but you can only get it full price.
I always fancied working in a bookshop or library when I was younger but I don't think I wold ever get any work done at all! I decided I was too noisy to be a librarian..altho I really am quite quiet ,shy and retiring underneath..

There was alovely bookshop near where I grew up, allwooden floors and a rickety staircase up to the childrens section. Getting a booktoken for my birthday was just the best present. My bookclub chums gave me a Borders tiken for £60 lasy year to celebrate my big 40 and it was so lovely spending it.

I've got a 10 quid waterstones token in my purse and I was tempted to go and spend it but Oxford is just a total zoo - thousands of furriners cluttering up the pavement - so I got some lunch, a couple of t-shirts and came back...but I will return..
