Aardvark is a(/n) dutch(/afrikaans/whatever language it was) name for an animal. Aard is Afrikaans for earth, and vark is afrikaans for pig.
Are you saying that you want to keep score or not?
Is Aden as bad as Johannesburg?
Questions only.
PedanticBarSteward Posted Dec 2, 2005
Can you suggest a way to 'keep score' of such a thread? As to your question as to comparing Aden with Jo-burg, can you compare Lagos to Madras?
Questions only.

Oh - and thanks for the insight into the derivation of the name of the antbear - did you really think I didn't know that?

Where did you find that piece of info on the antbear/aardvark?

I don't know, I can't remember myself. By the way, have we met?
Questions only.

I don't know whether we have met? Your memory must be bad if you can't even remember your self! Do you remember me?
Questions only.

would someone who is just entering this thread wonder which question to answer first?

I don't think we've met.
Could I be wrong?
Questions only.
PedanticBarSteward Posted Dec 5, 2005
Do you mean wrong about the thinking or the meeting?

Can I get back to you on that?
Questions only.
PedanticBarSteward Posted Dec 5, 2005
It is but got side-tracked for a while - I think we were discussing the fiscal policies of Patagonia - weren't we?
Questions only.
PedanticBarSteward Posted Dec 5, 2005
Isn't it difficult to have a conversation with someone who can't remember whether they think?
Questions only.
PedanticBarSteward Posted Dec 6, 2005
Wasn't it Descartes who said 'Cogito, egro Sum'? Could we then not argue that if one doesn't think one doesn't exist? If so, how can one have a conversation with someone who, by their own admission, doesn't exist?
Questions only.
Patches (God of nothing worth being a God of) Ps: 24-4+13+0+9=42!!!!! Posted Dec 6, 2005
I do exist. I just couldn't remember WHY.
Why do we exist?
Who decides whether we live or die?
What gives them the authority to make such decisions?
