Are some plants better CO2 collectors than others, per unit of mass/surface area? If so, which are the better, and why?

"There are several factors for concideration

-- surface area of leaves, more surface gives more fotosynthesis.
-- lasting of carbon matter, trees will be better for the CO2 storage then herbs.
-- surface area, several layers of leaves before remanent light hits the ground will be most productive.
-- growing speed, the faster a plant grows the sooner it will absorb CO2.

You are looking for a fast growing tree with large leaves.

"Sure, if you are in the right climate.

In my opinion it does not really matter what plants you use, each have their specialisation. Most important is to turn them into diamonds before the organic matter starts to decompose. "
