and Starbirth's trapped in a rather twisted remake of the Manchurian Candidate.
But the funny thing is, the (American) executive director for communicable diseases at the WHO really did get his training at the EIS. That's reality, not TV. And it was Starbirth, after all, who made the suggestion that SARS was an American design.
Did anybody else notice that the so-called Canadian mad cow turned up on an American owned ranch?
God bless America
DA ; Simply Vicky: Don't get pithy with me! Posted Jun 15, 2003
Did it? That's very interesting....
BTW, Starbirth - about '24', I was just saying.. funny how fictional TV can reflect fact - or anticipate it, isn't it?
God bless America
anhaga Posted Jun 15, 2003
you mean like the "Lone Gunmen" episode and September 11?
God bless America
DA ; Simply Vicky: Don't get pithy with me! Posted Jun 15, 2003
Whatever happened to the 'Lone Gunmen' TV series? We saw about 12 eps here, and then it vanished! I don't recall that episode, it sounds interesting!
Maybe someone could start a discussion about American TV... Often we'll get bitten on the rear by nasty and unexpected propaganda - such as on Friday, while watching an episode of 'John Doe'. BTW, anyone notice how *many* Australian actors are the stars of US series?
Anthony La Paglia in 'Without Trace', Poppy Montgomery in the same, the guys in 'John Doe', and 'The Grauniad' and of course the guy in JAG who O.D'd last week, Brumby someone. (Don't watch JAG, the nausea quotient is too high. too much flag-waving, militaristic bullsh..)
Go Stargate SG-1! (Resistant so far...)
God bless America
Loup Dargent Posted Jun 15, 2003
saw the last episode tho'... but i won't say what happened in it if you haven't seen it...
so there was supposed to be more episodes shown?!...
not another "dark skies" excuse i hope...
no silly religious propoganda subject line

"You're traveling through another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. That's the signpost up ahead - your next stop, the Twilight Zone!"
Della: hey how the hell did I get here. Very funny starbirth. I am a '24' fan not no stinking twilight zone. And I only watch '24' to keep up on what those sneaky Americans are up to.
loup: Oh I like stargate.
Anhaga: What the hell is this some new American reality TV. Damn americans.
Blatherskite: wait what am I doing here I do not even watch TV. I was only debating societies moral acension with steve.

part 3
A line of drool runs down dellas left side of her cheek. Slowly she awakens in a sitting position at her desk. The computer still running is on the bbc site she was reading last night before she fell asleep. For the life of her she could not remember falling asleep and had this strange feeling as if she had been dreaming all night. She could only recall something to do with tv. Thats it she must have been dreaming about startrek again. Strange it seems to happen alot lately. Oh well she is late and must get to work.
In a small non discript office half a world away a man turns off a small machine. In theory this machine could induce thoughts into a human subject anywhere on the planet by simulating a dreamlike state. Of course that is in theory only. With a smile on his face the tired man walks outside his mind half a world away he rubs his neck looks up to the stars and smiles.

C'mon Starbirth, the Klingons weren't even in episode 57, "The Vengeance Factor":
"After finding traces of Acamarian blood at a looted Federation outpost, Picard leads the crew to Acamar Three. There, he learns that the responsibility for the attack lies with the Gatherers, a band of renegade Acamarians who split from their culture 100 years ago. When Acamar's leader, Marouk, expresses her desire to reintegrate the Gatherers into her now peaceful society, Picard offers the services of the Enterprise to find the bandits."
I won't spoil it by posting the rest, just in case you actually want to watch the episode.

it should have been:
"loup: i like talking about TV series..."

Acamariems sounds suspiciously like Americans. Nice anti american behaviour in the 24th centuary. It all started with that damn canadian James Kirk.

About your problem with uploading Starbirth:
I'm having trouble, too. I guess we're both using the same "don't let me upload any more of this silly crap" filter.
