I was lurking here from October 1999, after reading a Guardian article about websites worth visiting, which included h2g2. I lurked until late December then finally signed up. Still have the same U number.

You can call me TC Posted Oct 31, 2018
I joined as soon as I heard of the site in May 2000 (news took a bit longer to reach us here in Central Europe). Wasn't there a thread somewhere about planning a 20th anniversary meet-up?

There will indeed be a London Meet-up on the anniversary week-end. The main event will therefore be on April 27th. The rest of the details is being worked on as we type (or pretty much).
(Posting this everywhere the Meet is being discussed, to make sure as many people as possible see it!)

I'll be there. Then I'll be in Manchester. Then I'll be in Edinburgh and then maybe I'll see a bit more of Scotland this time.

I don't have any schedule conflicts, so I'll make an effort to come to London for that meet-up.
